Onboarding and workforce management were a massive issue for our company as we did not have an HRIS before Paycor. We have used it for both of those elements, in addition to performance management, time tracking, payroll, expense management, and recruiting. We use the software every day for workforce management and it has made a massive difference in the way we work in our HR and Payroll departments.
Pros
Paycor is nearly a one-stop shop for all HR needs
Basic HCM is easy to use
Always trying to improve their features
Recruiting module has been great and customizable for our needs
Cons
Customer support team is not great
Can be choppy when switching from Recruiting to HCM to Paths, as they are all clearly items that have been bolted on post-creation
Likelihood to Recommend
We use Paycor every day for things like onboarding, but there are a lot of attachments with Paycor that make it nearly a one-stop shop, which is great. I have found some of their resource tools excellent for solving quick, simple problems. For basic HCM, it is fairly easy to use as well. They are always adjusting their features and seem to be interested in always creating a better user experience. Their recruiting module has been great and customizable for our needs. Onboarding and workforce management was a massive issue for our company as we did not have an HRIS beforehand. Both pieces have made it much easier to have a set onboarding process with the hiring managers involved at the right stages and with all the right documentation. It has been wonderful. Paycor's customer support team is not great. I find myself in situations where I know as much as, or more than, their support advocates. This makes it challenging when I am working through a very complex problem and cannot find someone who can assist. If you are not tech savvy and have a hard time learning software on your own, Paycor may be hard to work with.

I process payroll and run many customized reports. We struggle with the GL set up, reports are not date driven and the company structure.
Pros
Security
Customer service
Direct deposits
Imports in payroll
Cons
Date driven reporting
Tax debit or credit back up

Overall our experience with Paycor has been good. With any company, there are areas they could improve. Reporting is a huge task for us and because Paycor is not date driven, I have to manipulate reporting.
I really appreciate that all payroll and HR functions are integrated within a single platform. It allows benefits data to automatically flow into payroll and out to our vendors, creating a seamless and efficient process. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, which makes training new team members simpler.
Pros
Integrations
Reporting
Onboarding
Cons
Learning Management System
Customer Service
Compliance
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycor is well suited for integrations. It has helped us by streamlining and automating key HR and Payroll processes, which reduces manual work and makes our day to day operations much more efficient. Customer service is an area that could use improvement. Response times are often slow and it typically requires consistent follow up to get a case fully resolved.

We are a Benefits Broker, and I serve as a consulting analyst. Many of our clients utilize Paycor as their HRIS system for employee date, benefits data, payroll info, etc.
I pull reports within Paycor (Census, Benefit Admin, Payroll, etc.) to conduct audits and compare with the insurance carriers numbers.
Pros
User Friendly
Very customizable for pulling reports
Good integration and implementation resources
Cons
Poor Customer Service
Lots of report options, but can be too complex when needing just standard reports.
If something isn't integrated properly, it is tough to fix
Likelihood to Recommend
When everything is set up and integrated properly it is very user friendly, but I've had a number of clients where it was not and getting the answers from a Paycor Rep or trying to work with the client can be tough because they also have had trouble getting support and reaching the correct support line for assistance.
We use Paycor for all of our HR needs and as an LMS learning and development community. In fulfilling our HR needs, employees can view their paychecks, time off, and progress toward competencies and objectives that have been assigned to them. They can also view any important tax data and career pathing informaton.
Pros
Payroll
Time Off
Performance Reviews
Feedback
Objectives
Cons
Learning management system
Likelihood to Recommend
As far as human resources capabilities, Paycor is on the mark. It is easy to view paychecks, time off balances, competencies, and objectives. It is simple to take off time and receive feedback from managers on this platform. Unfortunately, it is not as straightforward with the learning management system; that system has limitations and could use some improvement.

Paycor is mostly easily used for the employee and admin. However I think reporting function is lacking and it is very difficult to narrow down to specific information. In addition we recently added Expense Management but the installation was awful! We still have problems and cannot use it and from my experience I do not get response from the installer
Pros
Employee documentation

Cons

Paycor is a good system at the right price. Employee documentation and tracking is outstanding. I find employee information is easily accessible.
Paycor was recommended by my bank. We use it primarily as our payroll service. It also provides detailed reporting for tax preparation use.

Cons
Easier to find reports
Simpler reporting

Payroll is a competitively priced payroll provider. It is especially beneficial if you have employees in different states and need to know the unique taxing jurisdiction. Reporting makes it easier to complete end of year taxes.
Paycor provides all of our human resources management solutions. It is used throughout the organization. Analytics functions help us with all our reports. It is available to managers for a variety of purposes, including staffing. Over a year ago, we began utilizing Paycor. We shifted from a highly laborious approach to a lot more automated and user-friendly one. Working with Paycor on the rollout of this new system has been a pleasure.
Pros
Recruitment
Onboarding
Payroll
Analytics
Cons
Increase the frequency with which our representative contacts us. Paycor moves at such a fast pace that our representative is always changing
After the first year, I think you should have a team meeting to go over how things are set up and make any necessary changes

Reporting and analytics are critical to the success of our business. In order to make business decisions, it provides us with access to the data we need. The payroll module is also a nice addition. A minimal amount of time is required for us to process our payrolls. Although there are many courses in the learning management module, none of them are multilingual, which is very essential to us.
Paycor is being used across our entire organization for various functions. Our main functions are Onboarding, Recruiting, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Tax reporting and so much more. Before Paycor, our issues were mainly centered around faulty products and poor customer service. After signing up with Paycor, the issues we had prior are no longer there. Having a system that works isn't too much to ask for, but having a product that goes above your expectations is amazing!
Pros
Customer support. Their support team are very knowledgeable subject matter experts.
Providing a very user friendly interface that allows virtually anyone to grasp.
Cons
I've always wanted to have a universal calendar that all employees can access or see on their dashboard that reflects birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc.

Paycor's payroll product is great. Since implementing the payroll product, I have saved countless hours per month on processing payrolls. I think the HR platform could be a tad more robust. It's great to house employee documents and whatnot, but I wish the employees had more resources or items available to them.
Paycor is being used as a time tracking device for hourly employees and a job costing aid for our software development process for our engineers. It allows us to capture time precisely and be able to run reports based on that data. We also use it for our open enrollment, benefit elections, and a general area to house all of our payroll and some HR related items within each employee's profile. We have not completely transitioned to doing all of our company-wide reviews on there, but it is very helpful to have a complete product fill all of our needs.
Pros
A dedicated representative to help with any of our questions and concerns that is familiar with our account.
The ability to do job costing and run reports based on that data.
Allowing our employees to have flexibility on their time cards with having the mobile punch option.
Cons
We had a bit of an issue with our representative at the beginning of not communicating well, however, we have a new rep and she is wonderful!
Reporting could use some work, there are a ton of reports, but there aren't specific items that I need, like running a census that allows me to see which state each employee is located in for our State reporting requirements.
Reporting again usually has some bugs that are associated with it, so it will sometimes take me quite a while to run a report that has a lot of data on it for our job costing.
Foreign payroll would be nice to have and the ability to allow for PTO accruals and time tracking for our foreign employees.
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycor really has fulfilled quite a lot of our needs. One of the issues we have come across though is that we are not able to run foreign payroll out of it, so we aren't able to effectively track our foreign employee's PTO out of it either. I understand the reason why it doesn't roll properly, but it would be nice if Paycor, in the future, can become more diversified to be able to handle all of our foreign employee payrolls.
