We use ON24 mainly for the Webinar functionality. We used to struggle with getting everyone together on the same dates for webinars on a monthly basis so the Simu-live functionality has been a game changer for us. Being able to record a webinar in advance when everyone's schedules are aligned and then broadcast it at a later date means if someone has an emergency meeting or needs to be on site we can reschedule and it doesn't affect the webinar and we aren't going out to a live audience.

  • It's not always obvious how to do something, it can be multiple clicks deep from where you'd expect it to be
  • Limited branding options
  • Everything has to go through ON24 you can't send videos or demos for people to use without going through ON24 for reporting purposes but can lead to a bad UX

Likelihood to Recommend

It's well suited for businesses that need flexibility in webinar recordings with a simple but advanced platform that can be easily explained and used by different stakeholders. We have found that there is some delay on the audio between users so it can be less suitable in scenarios where people need to talk directly to each other on the platform.

We use On24 to host webinars for prospects and customers. We have used it for live, simulive, and on-demand webinars.

We had previously invested money in working with external partners but shifted our strategy to host our own.

Use ON24 to create and broadcast webinars for our clients. It allows us to push some contents, in order to educate our customers and to create demand gen as well.
The ability to broadcast in simu-live or in live is also a great advantage for us

We use ON24 to host all our virtual events, from training sessions to traditional webinars and round tables. ON24 helps us keep track of leads and engagement and enables us to weave in calls-to-action organically and the next steps so we can help folks progress throughout the funnel. We needed something integrated with HubSpot, so we went with ON24. We use the integration to inform lead scoring and sales follow-up within the CRM.

  • The UX is a bit old school - could use a refresh in look and feel.
  • It would be great if they could pass over more details to HubSpot.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is excellent for webinars, group demos, and virtual events. We haven't ventured into running virtual conferences, but I know the capabilities exist. Given the scoring and detailed attendee engagement metrics they collect, it would be great if webinars were a big part of your demand generation strategy.

We use ON24 to produce virtual events. We host events on ON24, anywhere from 30-900 people geared toward government training. We offer events on a variety of technology and management topics. We utilize the engagement features on the platform (open chat, polling, Q&A, etc.). ON24 helps us get content and training opportunities out to government employees to further their education.

  • User friendly (externally)
  • Quick replies to IT tickets

Cons

  • We always have issues with the leaderboard in virtual conference manager not showing results in real-time (complaint from attendees)
  • Doesn't always work with CRMs to transfer reg into virtual conference manager - has been an ongoing issue the IT team at ON24 can't figure out with our account

ON24 is extremely easy to use once you know your way around. The knowledge center is also a great resource to use if you have a simple question, you don't have to go through the hassle of submitting a ticket.

We use ON24 Elite for Client education webcasts and ON24 Forums for smaller interactive paid client training. Our marketing, development, and support teams are able to mine the data we garner from these sessions to help existing clients.

Pros

  • CPE certificates are available almost immediately.
  • It uses the web browser, so there are no downloads for the presenter or customer.
  • Resources are able to be added for download on the platform.

Cons

  • Reporting still needs some work. You need to access each event report separately.
  • Doesn't support the Morph transition in PowerPoint.
  • Needs an import process for polling questions; having to type them in leaves lots of room for error on my part.

Likelihood to Recommend

ON24 Elite and Forums are great for our CPE sessions. Having the CPE certificate immediately available without interaction from our staff has saved hundreds of people hours in manually checking and processing those certificates.

Our clients use ON24 to solve a variety of business solutions, but predominantly use it for their virtual events and webcasts The tools present within ON24 allow our clients to amplify communications both internally and externally and collect data on a variety of content from collecting information through surveys, event participation, or email communication.

I use ON24 in my organization for demand generation and partner training. We host at least 120 events per year to engage prospects, customers, and partners. Furthermore, we use ON24's engagement tools within the event console to deliver sales-related signals to the sales teams. So far, ON24 has done a great job at helping us solve our business problems.

Likelihood to Recommend

Customer support via the support chat can be a hit or miss. When customer support is not able to help, we ask customer success to assist, which may not be available during all hours. I think some additional training for customer support would improve customer satisfaction scores. That's all I can say for now.
