Mimecast Engage is Simple

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We previously used KnowBe4 for Security Awareness Training and would like to be able to add our custom training module to the "Company wide training". At the moment I know that is not possible to add to the "Company wide training" this is only possible with "Targeted Training". The issue with "Targeted Training" is that it will not report the results under "Reports & Insights". I would like to see better reporting for "Targeted Training" and the ability to add custom modules to "Company Wide Training". Phishing Training Templates need to be more robust with the capability to spoof trusted domains. Mimecast should also provide more Phishing Training Templates to customize.

Pros

  • Easy to schedule Targeted Training
  • Easy to select Training modules for Company Wide Training
  • Easy to create and schedule Phishing Training Campaigns

Cons

  • I would like to see better reporting for "Targeted Training"
  • Phishing Training Templates need to be more robust with the capability to spoof trusted domains.
  • Mimecast should also provide more Phishing Training Templates to customize.
  • To add custom modules to "Company Wide Training"

Return on Investment

  • Saving us money by switch from KnowBe4
  • We have identified individuals who high risk to the company
  • Provided Phishing simulation campaigns to train users on email threats

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Security awareness training is used to keep the business aware of common threats as well as new vectors of attack that emerge over time. It provides real world examples and highlight high profile targets areas bad actors may try to take advantage of. It gives the audience an understanding of why the targets are chosen and what we can all do to employ better security practices.

  • Explains why they're areas of concern
  • What people can do to mitigate the risks
  • Short and entertaining to boost engagement

Cons

  • Increased frequency of content updates
  • Backend support has been lacking
  • Great platform honestly, and I don't have a lot of criticism

Return on Investment

  • Good engagement with user base and information security
  • Higher volume of reported concerns and suspicious activity
  • Provides a measure of people who participate in the program

Excellent educational security tool

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it for security training for our staff members. This training helps increase knowledge of threats and good cybersecurity practices. We hope that this will protect our users and our organization against security treats and breaches. We wanted to find something that presents this important information in a fun and memorable way.

Pros

  • The training videos target specific types of threats.
  • The videos are professionally written and are entertaining and educational.
  • There is a good reporting component that allows us to monitor the training.

Cons

  • It would be nice if there was a way to share this with employee family members as poor security practices at home can affect work performance.

Return on Investment

  • I think has reduced people being tricked by scams. It's hard to say for sure but people seem much more hesitant to click on random links in emails they receive.

Mimecast Cyber Awareness Training is Brilliant

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our organisation is required to ensure we provide all our staff with ongoing cyber awareness training. This is a mandatory component of our compliance and contractual obligations from our stakeholders. However, our existing cyber awareness training programs just weren't engaging enough or even relevant, which resulted in low attendance and completion rates. When we asked staff for feedback on why they weren't completing the training, the responses were consistent:- Poor quality and non-engaging content.- Each training module was taking too long to complete (minimum 20 minutes), causing disruption to their workload. As the organisation's CISO, I needed to address these issues and find a way to deliver cyber awareness training that was short, sharp, and on point. That's when we trialled the Mimecast Cyber Awareness Training solution. To be honest, it has resolved all the problems we were experiencing with the existing solution. Since being fully deployed across the organisation, with all training schedules setup and on autopilot, we now have a 90% completion rate and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The training is engaging, short, and sharp, but most importantly, relevant to current cyber threats. The videos are hilarious, and the short quizzes after each video always challenge people's thinking, yet gives us reports on quiz performance. Best of all, the entire process takes less than 5 minutes.I highly recommend the Mimecast solution and will continue using it into the foreseeable future. The success of this program has not only improved our compliance rates but also enhanced our overall security posture. Staff are now more aware of potential cyber threats and feel more confident in their ability to handle them. This has fostered a culture of security within the organisation, which is crucial in today's digital landscape. In conclusion, the Mimecast Cyber Awareness Training solution has been a game-changer for us, addressing all our previous challenges and setting a new standard for effective and engaging training.
