Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is the GOAT for collaboration internally and externally

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite for our clients as we are a tech company that half of us are in sales and product development, and the other half are implementors and consultants for our clients. So either we are using the tools for internal collaboration between product and sales to give potential customers the best demos we can, or as consultants we can collaborate with outside clients as to diagram their use cases and needs to demonstrate how we can improve their business processes.

Pros

  • Lucid Chart diagrams processes very well
  • It allows for project managment to help with client timelines
  • Can help with org design

Cons

  • The tutorials could always be improved.
  • AI can we integrated so I can ask the AI tool how to do something in Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite, and it will tell me how to do it.

Return on Investment

  • It makes process mapping so much quicker and visually engaging for clients
  • Overall ease to modify timelines and requirements.

Great Collaboration and Easy to use tool for diagraming

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It helps create Sequence diagrams , component diagram, workflows etc for our product and software services. • Collaborative where easy to share with team members to do join design work
  • Many great add ons like Azure/Google/AWS icons/blocks so its easy to represent components and technology thats being used in our service

Cons

  • Easy to search for components thats similar instead of exact match like Natural Language processing
  • mechanism to request for editing permission for Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite diagrams that were shared
  • Better template or custom template that we can build using natural language

Real-Time collab for cloud architecture design

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it to diagram and collaborate on software cloud architecture. I've used it for several years, it has worked well for me when I need a mutual understanding of the cloud architecture, or when designing a new software service.
It is essential to have a diagram to ensure mutual understanding, and not just paragraphs of words.

Pros

  • Collaboration is great, I can even see my teammates' mouse moving around. Very realtime.
  • Has icons from AWS, GCP, etc that I need to describe what I am creating.
  • Easy to use and share docs with others, duplicate tabs so we can each propose changes from a current solution.
  • Love the export options in Lucid

Cons

  • Finding a document that has been shared with me (without having the link) is tricky, or the amount of diagrams becomes overwhelming and buries the document you actually need.

Return on Investment

  • We are able to work remotely and collaborate effectively, without being in office. This along with video calls are both essential to remote work.

Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite charts for better diagrams

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite to create diagrams of customers' product flow and help visualize the connection between components in our product, both externally and internally.
When we need to help customers' "see" a plan of action, that is usually very complex to just articulate, showing them the process and how elements connect to one another is a great way to get buy-in and collaboration. Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite helps me create these visualizations that I can share with customers and make sure everyone is aligned.
Additionally, we can use the app to create org charts and dependency diagrams.

Pros

  • Integrate with google suite
  • enables different types of diagrams
  • have templates to help start creating a diagram or a visual

Cons

  • The google integration is not smooth
  • There are only a few options to import many elements at the same time, and their type is limited
  • the template are not always easy to manipulate if the original structure is not exactly what you need

Return on Investment

  • Helped show customers what the process will looks like and they their understanding fast
  • enables to have a "one source of truth" as visuals are easy to explain and verify it is understood.

Usability

A great tool for collaboration and diagraming solutions

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is used to collaborate and create business process diagrams along with ERDs of platforms we work with in order help explain to potential customers how systems integrate. This is a useful for those who need more visual cues while presenting on screen or within Scope of Work Documents.

Pros

  • Collaboration
  • ERDs
  • Flow Diagrams

Cons

  • Finer pixel size, for example the distance margin between moving items on screen
  • It would be great to integrate with Salesforce to draw out ERDs by recognising custom objects and installed packages, as often these are not supplied by smaller vendors accurately

Return on Investment

  • Improved productivity
  • Improved collaboration
  • Faster time to understanding systems and integrations
