At my organization, we use Hootsuite for all our social media posts scheduling on all different channels such as Linkedin, twitter, etc. The analytics from Hootsuite is also very good, it helps us in analysing the quality of our posts, the impressions its hitting & the likeability of the post as well. The sentiment analysis is one feature i really like alongside the social listening it provides. The analytics is very good & it helps us in improvising on making our content better each day so that we are able to increase the engagement on the posts. The AI recomendations are also very good which are provided by Hootsuite. I would say its a must have tool for all organisations for all their social media management, social listening , social ad analytics & social advertising analytics. Must recommended for all.
Pros
Scheduling of Posts on Linkedin & Twitter
Social media analytics
AI recommendations for best timings
Cons
sentiment analysis
social listening
better AI suggestions

Hootsuite is best suited for organizations with less team members & loads of work to be done. The scheduling comes handy with such tools as it takes a lot of bandwidth of a person when posts have to be posted manually. It is less appropriate if a team member has bandwidth for daily posting.

I use Hootsuite as the Digital Marketing Specialist, I'm in charge of all the social channels for a couple of different brands. I use Hootsuite for scheduling on the content calendar and ideation with captions.
Pros
Social listening
Free AI caption writer on the website
Reporting
Cons
One thing that's frustrating is when trying to change the date/time and having to go into each individual post to update it is a lot. With other calendar tools, you are able to drag and drop the post in the time you want it OR there is a pop up that allows you to change the date/time without having to go into editing the actual post.
It would be nice to have different calendar tabs for different brands. Instead of seeing all the brands scheduled posts on one calendar.
There needs to be a content library to house all the creative files so it's easier to choose and upload.

Personally I liked Later's interface and features that I previously mentioned on the prior page.

We wanted to have a tool for our social media manager to administrate all social networks accounts from one place, allowing the person to save time on creating and publishing posts, but also on assets creation and management, and tagging of links in order to align with our global data strategy. We also needed a place to centralize data about our performance on social networks, allowing us to generate consistant reports.
Pros
tag link with dynamic UTMs, this feature has become a deal maker for me!
organize streams of posts by social network in a nice fashion
calendar view of posts is great and very useful to balance the number of posts
Cons
Because of the way algorithms works, we would have loved to be able to automate making a post with no link and posting the first comment with a link (hello LinkedIn)
We would have loved an easy way to post from a main account and repost the post for other accounts we administrate, for instance a corporate post reposted by individuals for LinkedIn, or retweets from one main account by child accounts

From my experience, I would say that the size of the company is a good indicator of how much resources can be dedicated to social media, and what outcomes you expect and thus want to track. SME have probably better options than Hootsuite, which might end up looking like over-engineered to just post on social networks. On the other hand, to manage different teams across different entities accros the world, with different level of access and rights, and use social media as a core part of the demand generation process, it is a great tool.
We moderate for 3 different clients. Hootsuite helps us catch all incoming content on various platforms in a timely matter, versus checking them all one by one natively. We now only have to do that once per shift, vs every hour. It's very efficient for us to use Hootsuite for this reason.
Pros
Pulling content
Timely pulls
Accurate pulls
Filters
Cons
Offer a few more features for moderation

I haven't encountered any scenarios where it would be less appropriate. In the field I work in, it helps so much with pulling in 1000s of comments a day for our team to handle and engage with, or escalate. So far its worked for all of our clients needs. Very happy with it overall.

I used Hootsuite primarily to schedule and organize social media posts across networks, especially focusing on auto-queueing posts long-term, and auto-posting from various sources (blogs, podcasts, etc).
Pros
Scheduling
Auto-posting
Auto-scheduling
Cons
Bloated toolset
Expensive
Too focused on large-scale marketing use-cases
Outperformed by smaller competitors with lower prices

It's honestly a solid tool if you're working with a big company and have a huge marketing budget and portfolio of efforts to manage, but for individual and small makers and businesses, I feel it's both too expensive and overkill.
We have used hootsuite for over 5 years as a platform to organize and publish our social media content. It is clean and user-friendly, keeping all of our content in one place. Inside the platform, you can easily customize and pre-plan your posts for the month probably one of my favorite features. Now they even added a feature to help you come up with content based upon your previous posts, it's pretty impressive.
Pros
User-Friendly interface.
Organized
Social Media ready
Pre-planning capabilities
Great AI suggestions on posts
Cons
Customization options for the customer
Fix how often linkedin gets disconnected from the platform

I think for any company that manages more than 1 social media platform having a tool like Hootsuite at your disposal is a game-changer. It consolidates your work and gives you some great tools for future planning. We love having out team plan out a month's worth of content for each channel, and you can just see it all there in one organized platform. A very very handy tool.
I use Hootsuite to schedule regular posts across four social media channels for a major manufacturing client.
Pros
Creating posts and uploading images is very straightforward
The scheduling tool is handy, with a useful drag & drop feature
The ability to duplicate old posts and make edits whilst doing so is useful
The image editor is intuitive and handy
Cons
The text editor for the post creator isn't great, in particular the emoji dropdown, which jumps around a lot and is very frustrating to use
Setting times for posts is a frustrating process - having to scroll through a dropdown menu to select an hour or minute (every 5 minute options) seems overly complicated and is not easy to use
Not being able to edit a scheduled post within 5 minutes of the scheduled post time is frustrating

Excellent tool for scheduling all of your company's social media content from one handy place.

I like the feature for scheduling posts. I like that I can schedule for all platforms at once while still customizing each separately. Other programs require you to do each platform independently if you are in a single post scheduler. I also enjoy how your calendar displays the post image. I wish there was a way to mass-upload posts that included photographs. Before this, I used Hubspot, and it was simple to export a whole month to a CSV and then import data. They offer a media library, so you simply upload all of the images, and then in your CSV, insert the Hubspot link in the image column. When you import it, your posts will be complete with photographs. I can import the copy into Hootsuite, but the image must be inserted afterwards. Hootsuite makes it simple to post to all of our social media networks at the same time. This method saves me a significant amount of time. I also enjoy that all of our updates are in one spot in our email. This allows me to manage all responses at the same time. Hootsuite makes it simple to schedule several posts in advance. We save a lot of time by uploading everything in one location at once, and if we need to alter or update anything before the scheduled posting date, we know where to look and immediately fix it. Hootsuite has made significant modifications to make it easier to post numerous photographs to Instagram, which we frequently use.
Pros
schedule multiple posts in advance
easier to post multiple photos
navigate my company's social media in the most time-efficient
able to plan ahead, spot any trends or issues easily and have automated reports
Cons
Hootsuite is that the integration of new features can sometimes be slower than that of it's competitors.
Is excessively expensive, even with the discounts made for buying several memberships.
High cost, complex functionalities and few integration capabilities with CRM or BI software.

I like how simple it is to navigate the platform. It allows me to easily arrange my material and share my posts across several platforms in a sensible and orderly manner. Furthermore, whenever I have a problem with scheduling, I can obtain help quickly from the service team. I've been using Hootsuite since 2021 and haven't missed a single post.
I run an online content creation blog that caters to small and upcoming businesses. We create and schedule content throughout all our social media platforms (omnichannel). This is where Hootsuite comes in: we can schedule content for social media and be able to direct traffic to our blogs through the use of our careful automation that allows us to connect with our customers so we can direct them to our site where they will explore more solutions for their pain points.
Pros
Automating media based content.
Saving drafts for later automation.
Efficiency in seeing all that is happening throughout your socials in one site.
Cons
More social media support for lesser known socials.
Audio support for future podcasting.

Hootsuite is a really great app, especially if you are running a start-up: where you do not have time to be physically present on all social media platforms. This is where this app really shines. It brings in all your essential touch points for your campaign, such as mentions and likes, all under one roof. This app really is a lifesaver especially when your brand messaging highly depends on your brand being on most social media platforms.
I use Hootsuite to schedule and publish social media posts at the optimum times. Although it is a little pricey, I find it manageable. It is relatively simple to use. I found it easy to connect my accounts and I am looking forward to hooking up TikTok when I get an account.

Hootsuite is well suited to my needs. There are periodic observances on specific days I like to give a shout-out to, and Hootsuite allows me to plan these well in advance and then forget about them until I start getting likes and comments on posts that happened in my sleep!
