Dropbox changed my business.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have been a Dropbox user for about a decade and love it. Dropbox allows me to organize my files and access them from any computer and my phone. It has simplified my business and my life! I have recommended dropbox to many other friends in the real estate industry and it has been a game changer for them as well. I am no longer anchored to my laptop!!

Pros

  • Organizes files.
  • Easily accessible.
  • Syncs files quickly.

Cons

  • The online dashboard is somewhat cluttered. I prefer a clean list of my files. I don't need to see the recents, etc.

Return on Investment

  • It allows me to stay compliant in my real estate business.
  • The online storage cost is affordable, allowing me to avoid the need for a larger capacity laptop. Well worth the cost

Your one stop shop for data and document management.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Dropbox was initially a personal solution, born out of frustration after losing a hard drive containing all my data. That was in 2008. By 2013, I had launched a small business, and Dropbox was my vault! I have 17 years of experience with their sustainability, tech support, customer service, including my panic moments when they rescued my data from a mistaken deletion, advice on my growth, and storage size. My company and I have truly tested them, and honestly, I wouldn't trust anyone else to store my data. There are no ghosts, just real people ready to help whenever you need it. Now let's talk budget. I, along with many of the clients that I serve, are entrepreneurs, consultants, startups, and very small businesses. Dropbox is perfect for all! This is a low-budget service with high-value security. You can grow your bill when your business grows. Management of documents, folders, graphics, videos, and any other digital asset is extremely easy to work with, change, edit, and share. If you can navigate Windows, you can navigate Dropbox. So, 10 out of 10, 5 stars, Dropbox is the winner!

Pros

  • Document Management.
  • Team Sharing and Collaboration.
  • Information Security.
  • Customer Support.
  • Technical Support.

Return on Investment

  • A huge impact in cost savings.
  • A huge impact in collaboration, file sharing and document storage.
  • A huge impact on document management for customer account.

Dropbox is a Great Way to Share.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use Dropbox as a means to share the writing projects I am working on. I am a member of a writer's group, and we can only share so much when meeting in person. For those who want to see more, Dropbox is a great way to accomplish it.

Pros

  • I can share projects I need feedback on.
  • I can make projects available to editors so that they can do their work.
  • Dropbox is a place where I can store files that I can access from anywhere, even if I don't have my laptop with me at the time.
  • I have an old friend who is an acting professor in Tokyo. He loves the dialogue that I write in my novels. He converts chapters into scenework for his acting students. They get very excited when there's new material!

Cons

  • I find it hard to add new material to an existing project without having to replace the whole thing. Perhaps it's just me? I have tried to copy and paste the additional material, but to no avail. This should be a no-brainer.
  • It would even be great if I could link Microsoft Word, or even Office for that matter directly with Dropbox in some way. That way, upon completion, or even better yet, as I am working on it, the project is automatically updating back and forth into Word/Office.
  • A direct link from Dropbox to and from my email account would be helpful. Then, when working with an editor, a dialogue could be developed in real time.

Return on Investment

  • I access my Dropbox account from anywhere—any computer, my smartphone —is very accessible while still secure.
  • I would like it to be more editable with existing projects. This could be just me.
  • I would like it to integrate better with other systems, such as email and Office.

Usability

Love the ease of Dropbox.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I love using Dropbox for storing all of my documents. It is the best way for me to be able to work from multiple locations and multiple devices at the same time. It makes even running my business from my phone easy. I love that I can find all of my documents whenever I need them and share them with clients. Not sure how I would function without it!

Pros

  • Ensures documents are up to date, even with multiple users accessing the same documents.
  • I love that if a team member accidentally deletes a file, I can find it and restore it.
  • I like that I can edit from the web or have the app downloaded.

Cons

  • I don't have any suggestions at this time.

Return on Investment

  • I love that I can leave my office, get a call from a client, find the file on my phone, and send it without having to use my computer or run back to my office.
