We store all of the business's past work in Dropbox. I work in the creative department at Modern Brand, and once I complete a project in Adobe, I upload the working file to Dropbox. This way, everyone on the team can access these files both now and in the future.

Vital documents that I may need to use at home, from my phone, and share with my boss are on Dropbox. I use very regular on my phone. We use for real estate. Save lease forms, rental correspondence, etc that is sent to new guests.

I use Dropbox to firstly backup all of the files on my MacBook bro, but also to keep a further backup of my photo album on my iPhone. This then also allows me to access these files remotely when I’m not physically at each of these devices. <div>

Dropbox is the best file sharing application for my everyday personal and professional needs. I love that it is an online service that can seamlessly be integrated / downloaded to my computer and also just store files online that I don't need to use every day. It it very user friendly and I never have to think about how to use Dropbox- very intuitive.

Easy file sharing with people who don't have Dropbox. It's also the best way to keep up-to-date with phone storage with your pictures - it's easy to upload everything to Dropbox and delete files on your phone.

It a bit tricky to have shared files that you are still working on with people.

It is a backup for all our files. We have no dependence on any one device since everything is in the cloud and accessible anywhere. It also allows us to simply and quickly share large files by using the 'Share Dropbox Link'. Particularly good integration with Mac OS. Finally, the selective sync option means I don't need to buy terabytes of storage on each device.

Selective sync means no need to buy Tb of physical storage on portable devices

Cons

Selective sync is a major feature that should be more easily accessible and simpler to use (eg highlighting large directories that are rarely accessed)
File search on dropbox.com is a mess. I find it very difficult to search for and find specific files easily using web access compared to in the file system on my Mac.

Home based offices where large IT infrastructure isn't available or appropriate. Allows remote access and reduced dependence on any one device.

Dropbox is perfect for backing up my photos and important documents. It's easy to use and syncs most content within a few seconds. It's helped me in the past no end when I need decent cloud storage options and access them from anywhere. The price ain't cheap but it is worth it.

I do a lot of fashion work but also keep my personal stuff in there. folder system is great but it does already sync in with my phone (photos), which is great but I have thousands of photos being saved that I deleted from my phone, plus those I do want to keep are duplicated since I add them to separate folders . Files are great though to share with others

sometimes I get confused where something has been saved
to be able to turn off location of any videos and photos (am not sure if it's already there and I don't know how to use it)
maybe be able to turn powerpoint files into accessible links to forward (I try to send my portfolio on platforms such as Upwork, Linkedin, even email and it's very difficult since the file is big

I don't use it for much else except storing my videos and photos and files, for sharing and forwarding them to others so it's hard to describe what it is well suited for. Definitely as a file sharing space between colleagues and friends. It could potential be useful to have a tutorial video to show what all functions it has other then a storage area and file sharing platform.

I use my Dropbox to connect computers at different stations. I like it because I always have access to the most recent versions of the different documents that I'm working on and don't have to worry about being logged into a server or accidentally saving an outdated copy over the newest version.

I use Dropbox for syncing my own files and for saving photos from my phone (so they sync wirelessly). The only spot where it doesn't work out as well is when multiple people have a file open at the same time; it often created a conflicting copy that I have to merge later.

I used Dropbox mainly for research collaborations with colleagues and co-authors in my organisation. It has made it possible for file co-editing, which is very important for me. I also use it to back up large files for my laptop. I have been a regular Dropbox user for years and have never encountered any problems with it.

Pros

I especially enjoy the feature of tracking the editing history and I can recover the file to a file version in the past, which helps a lot when me or a colleague has accidentally done something wrong.

Cons

If Dropbox could allow more flexibility in the prepaid plan, it would greatly assist with financial year budgeting.

Likelihood to Recommend

Dropbox is extremely well-suited for research collaboration. At least within my circle, almost of every colleagues of mine are using it for jointly projects.

I use Dropbox for the large files required in my industry of book publishing. Generally speaking I am very happy with what the account gives and supports me with. Sometimes I get confused with transmission of files, and that is becoming increasingly difficult as all of the other systems I use in IT make an unfortunate turn to AI add-ons which I find utterly confusing and counter intuitive.

But Dropbox in broader terms makes my working days much smoother. Thank you.

Pros

Dropbox Transfer is impeccable as a mode of transmission.
Storing VERY BIG FILES (I have many!)
working in with my computing needs and storage.

Cons

Managing an order in Dropbox with folders and sub-sets is something I find a bit daunting and confusing.
Ways to keep the larger picture on file and folder systems would be helpful.
Otherwise I am happy after four years of using Dropbox.
