RealtyCom partners supports our clients by negotiating and managing all of their telecom contracts. We do this through the use of data management, and CRM systems to make sure that we always have our finger on the pulse of what is happening with our clients. As part of our process we negotiate contract terms with various telecom companies and need to present those different options to our clients in a concise and visual way. For years we have been doing a manual process to incorporate data from our CRM, requests for proposals and additional other data points then pull that into templates that we use to present to our clients. That process has historically created lots of opportunity for user error as well as long approval processes to comb through all of that manually entered information. Not to mention template management when something needs to change or be updated. We've been looking for a solution to be able to automate that process and remove some of that user error while also trying to speed up that process. We discovered Conga Composure as a way to improve that process
Pros
It is able to incorporate all of the Microsoft products that we use to build & showcase proposals
Once a solution is built it's easy to update templates
The processing time is quick and allows us to move through proposals at a pace we haven't had
Cons
Creating the solution can be a confusing process and getting that set up required us to hire outside help to do so. As we look at continued uses for composer having that issues causes us to need to be strategic as it impacts the budget we have for such thins
Likelihood to Recommend
Our proposal templates use Microsoft Excel, which Conga Composer is able to communicate with quite well. These documents have complex formulas so are not able to be created in a mircosoft program that doesn't support that. There are several limitations we've had to overcome, include how data gets pulled in and is read which caused us to have to use creative ways to implement those data pieces and still requires some manual template editing once the document has been created.
Generating a client list with logos and printing a PDF format using Salesforce as our single source of truth. Creating Quotes that are pulling from multiple related objects which cannot be done using Salesforce alone.
Pros
Queries multiple objects for one document
Their support is amazing
Creating beautiful final documents for presentations
Cons
Parameters guidance needs to be improved
Documentation is plentiful but it's a challenge to find what I need
Error messages when something's not working
Likelihood to Recommend
Document creation where you query across multiple related objects is veryy eas

Conga Composer is great for meetings. It takes notes of the conversation you’re having so you don’t need to worry about missing anything. It does an audio recording as well as typing text. Conga Composer technology was around before other platforms which made it so useful for the company.
Pros
Annotated calls
Cons
Doesn’t always get the correct response
Likelihood to Recommend
Conga Composer is excellent for transcribing calls between colleagues or clients. It’s your silent note taker in the background. It also summarizes your calls to the most important parts so you don’t need to sift through the whole transcript. That is so useful to save time and resources so you can focus on other tasks.

Custom quoting and billing solutions. We are able to customize templates for a variety of scenarios and even custom solutions for specific clients in some instances. It gives us a lot of flexibility in how we display information to our clients.
Pros
Template building
Automation
Custom Solutions
Cons
Clarity in support documentation
More "Self-Service" solution builders
Better documentation on query building
Likelihood to Recommend
It's well suited for situations that require customization but building those solutions requires specialized knowledge and expertise to develop those solutions. I wouldn't recommend it to smaller organizations that don't have a team capable of managing and developing it.
We create all of our prospect and customer order forms out of Conga Composer and use custom templates that SFDC out of the box cant provide.

Manager in Sales (Internet company, 51-200 employees)
Our organization wanted to generate quotes from Salesforce data without leaving the platform. We didn't want to implement a large and expensive solution like Salesforce CPQ, so we chose a solution that would allow us to plug and play Salesforce data into a template. Conga Composer was that solution, and we began to leverage several templates for customer and vendor outreach.
Pros
Quote Generation.
Salesforce Integration.
Cons
Customizing Individual Quotes.
Better UI for template design.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you populate quotes with limited, basic information, this is a great intermediate solution between manual quote creation and using a large product like CPQ. There is a learning curve to using Conga Composer, but it's far less difficult and easier to support than CPQ.
We needed a tool that would easily create a document with the data already stored in Salesforce CRM, Conga Composer solves the purpose as it has provided automation in the document generation process in our organization streamlining our business process. The documents are stored in our Salesforce environment which makes it great for overall data security.
Pros
Documents get generated at the click of a button in real-time.
It has automated processes for document generation through templates.
Object relationships are preserved in the final document which contains details from various objects.
Cons
The initial setup of templates can be made easier.
Support is not that great, phone support can be included.
Takes a lot of time to document generation in certain scenarios.
Likelihood to Recommend
It is well suited in that the client requires a constant type of final generated document with the most updated information from Salesforce CRM and contains details about related objects right onto the template. On the other hand, it lacks formatting options in templates, and support can be made better for end users.
