Conductor has been incredibly helpful and time saving for content research, creation, and direction. As a one person team it allows me to show others in a quick and simple way how to get what they need without coming to me for all the answers.
We use Conductor for SEO optimization, monitoring our rankings, and competitor analysis.
Their product, team, and community resources are so outstanding. The onboarding calls we had really set us up for success, and their help documentation, blogs, and webinars have continued to allow us to use the tool as efficiently as possible.
Into our second year, they came up with a custom priced plan for our use case since we are a smaller business and the cost was getting to be a little too expensive. They also always seem to be dropping new features without making insane changes to the UI, so when things get added everything is in a similar spot and it is not invasive.
We love the weekly reports we get about our progress, which has been great for presenting progress to our leadership team. Some of the features are not as useful to those who have smaller scope or a small team, but this is very negligible.
Pros
Customer Support
Product Personalization
Features
Help Docs
Regular Webinars for Industry Updates
Cons
Page Groups - they do not auto-organize pages with no traffic
Customized pricing from the start for smaller businesses

For medium to large businesses without SEO specialists. The tools Conductor has to make actionable suggestions based on data is very valuable, but an in house SEO specialist will be able to do these kinds of things with a less intuitive software that provides raw data only.
We are a small business and managed to get a discount based on our lack of scope. Without this discount the monthly price is a lot.
Conductor has been a great enterprise tool for assisting with market research, content development, and website monitoring across the organization. The availability of data, from keyword research to competitive visibility to content guidance to page performance, allows the team to work together, plan the following steps, and automate reports to track performance. Conductor training and support are excellent and have allowed us to expand the use of the tools across the organization to organize and prioritize work.
Pros
Product development through customer feedback.
Innovate as the industry shifts.
Meet customer's support needs.
Cons
Workflow is always evolving within the platform.
Different views of data are not always obvious but training helps.
The presentation of project management and next steps (actions).
Likelihood to Recommend
The conductor listens to customers and innovates in developing tools that drive business objectives. The conductor also keeps up with industry changes so the platform can deliver results that meet search engine needs.

As we've evolved as a company, our SEO has gone from basic SEO functions (keyword research, blog outlines, etc.) to more of an enterprise-level approach (meta-tag analysis, sitewide audits, core web vitals, etc.). With this shift, we found that our previous SEO tools (SEMRush, Ahrefs) no longer fit the bill completely.
Pros
Enterprise-level SEO
Core Web Vitals Analysis
Site Audits
Cons
Keyword research accuracy
Usability
Sitemap Analysis

Conductor is particularly well-suited for in-house SEO shops with limited bandwidth (which describes most in-house SEO these days). It's far less appropriate for agency use, where other tools outpace it in both cost and effectiveness. Conductor is definitely a more pricey tool.
We use Conductor to track our content performance, re-optimize existing content, create content outlines, do SEO research on terms, and get all of our writers on the same page with regard to content standards. Conductor allows everyone accesses to our key terms and makes it simple to collaborate with our peers across the enterprise – no matter the division. It's been really helpful in assuring that all content being created is targeting the same terms and created with the same goals in mind.
Pros
Keyword research.
Innovation and collaboration with our teams.
Content optimization tools.
Detailed reporting that's easy to export.
Cons
The keyword rankings aren't always reflective of search returns, so we'll get a message that we've fallen out of position one but will still show up there across various search engines.

Their content creation briefs are excellent for keeping teams across enterprises aligned and on track with regard to targeted keywords and what should be included within the content. The reporting functionalities make it easy to instantaneously pull critical information and data for reporting purposes. And the crew at Conductor is top-notch; they're highly collaborative, take feedback well, and work to implement or explore suggestions.
We use Conductor to report on our website optimization efforts, as well as use the tool to help inform content and optimization of said content on our website. We also use Conductor to get competitive analysis on how our competitors are doing from an organic search perspective and how we measure up against them on the topics we're striving to rank well for.
Pros
High-Level view of our search landscape (which keywords we rank for as a whole).
Keyword Research.
Content Analysis.
Cons
Ability to look at pages and their target keywords together.
Deeper technical SEO analysis within the Conductor platform.
Competitive analysis within one click - content gap analysis specifically.
Likelihood to Recommend
Keyword research - determine which keywords are the best to target and which ones may not be the best. Content research - determine which keywords to target in a specific piece of content and the different elements that should be optimized to rank the best that it can. Existing content optimization - analyze a current piece of content and identify areas that can be optimized for better ranking.

Conductor has made a lot of improvement to help large organizations get a full view of permormance across their landscape (i.e. multiple websites and channels). Many features also reduce the need for outside consulting on SEO and organic search by making SEO accessible to all users. It has a great UI and online support and training.

Before, we were using a patchwork set of platforms to give us "ok" information on what our rankings were, how they were changing, and for KW research. We didn't have content analysis, true keyword tracking, or anything like that. With Conductor, we now have full visibility and tracking that is giving us another lever to be able to pull for our business needs. Now we have surgical precision on how we manage our organic tracking and great visibility into even our paid efforts effect on our rankings.
Pros
Researching & tracking keywords
Content analysis
Visibility into rankings
Cons
Cross channel reporting (paid/organic/social)
YouTube SEO
International search engines
Likelihood to Recommend
It's great if you're mostly looking to Google as your major source of traffic (that it usually is), but if you're trying to look at international search engines like Naver, Baidu, etc, it doesn't really give you the visibility it needs. Also with the prominence of video these days and the fact that YouTube has it's own keyword metrics/rankings (and is the 2nd largest search engine in the US), I'm surprised there isn't more time invested in research for that. The conductor will move the needle for any business, these are my only pain points with it.

We use Conductor as an SEO team to address ranking changes and advise our future recommendations. Specifically, we use keyword tracking, result types, and Deep Crawl the most frequently. Conductor gives us both high-level and granular views of our organic presence and makes it easy to toggle between several views.
Pros
Aggregated keyword rankings.
Result types.
Deep crawl.
Cons
I would love an easier way to see historical search volumes for specific keywords.

While Conductor positions itself as more of an enterprise-level tool, any business of any size would benefit from the insights Conductor shares.
