E-commerce sales is where I would recommend BigCommerce lead generation is where I would like to see improvements ( better form generation etc)
It's a great e-commerce store that integrates well with our fulfillment platform. Its API also is able to interact with other data sources/data warehouses so we can analyze performance. The options/features within the platform make the product flexible for our 3 business needs (we own 3 different storefronts with BigCommerce).
Pros
Flexibility
Quick Modifications
Integrations
Cons
UI
Admin vs e-commerce site/interface
SSL setup

I find it to be more flexible than other e-commerce platforms I have used. The features regarding dynamic pricing, etc are nice. In my experience the customer support has been hit or miss and a lot of requested features/bug fixes remain unanswered on certain support forums by other users.
We normally provide b2c services , as BigCommerce easy to use for any customer so we recommend them to use BigCommerce, we provide them start to end service like theme setup , payment setup , product setup etc. so BigCommerce is one stop solution for it.
Pros
Customer experience
Faster checkout
More security
Easy admin management
Easy catalog ,order management
Cons
API document more in details
Free trial more increase for customer
More theme option

I have worked more than 20+ website of BigCommerce, its easy to use for any customer, and their 24*7 support is more helpful than others. BigCommerce admin area is easy to use for any customer who is technical or non technical. For security reasons no one can't modify checkout so somewhere its little less appropriate but its also feature of BigCommerce as well.
I'm a web developer that specializes in e-commerce. I regularly help clients open new stores on BigCommerce or migrate their stores from other platforms to BigCommerce. It's especially good for B2B businesses and those that need multiple storefronts. The headless option makes a great pairing with WordPress, which gives customers more design control over the informational aspects of their e-commerce stores.
Pros
B2B / Wholesale Tools
Multistore front for sharing a catalog between different stores
Product Filtering
Customer Support
Cons
Adding custom properties is extremely limited compared to other platforms.
Some files can only be modified offline are requires a bunch of command line stuff.
The Page Builder is lacking especially when it comes to custom fonts and styling.

The BigCommerce platform is well suited for small retailers with simple needs, especially those that would work well on an out-of-the-box theme. There are also great use cases for B2B / wholesale situations. If you run multiple online stores, but share inventory, you can use the multistore front feature to make managing them easier. Not a great platform if you have highly customizable product page needs or if you have a large demand for custom development. It's not that custom development isn't possible, it's just more time-consuming than platforms like Shopify, so it might cost you more in development costs. Their pricing model and no transaction fees are a big selling point. Also, the out-of-the-box integration with other shopping channels like eBay is a bonus for those looking to do omnichannel commerce.

We use BigCommerce for some of our client's e-commerce web solutions. We chose BigCommerce for its ease of use for the editors adding content and also the feature which allows you to add your own search keywords to products. This was the main reason we chose it over Shopify. Very easy to update and so far our customers love it.
Pros
Allows custom keywords for products
Adding images to variants is very simple for the end user
The free templates are excellent and very easy to edit
Cons
More control over how the homepage displays without having to code

Ease of use and has specific features that none of the other off-the-shelf E-Commerce solutions have. Very easy for the end-user to edit and add new or existing content, plus has a very extensive knowledge base and a good user community [that] has many answers to the questions and problems I've encountered.

We are using BigCommerce to launch a new small business site featuring custom innovations and 3D printed designs.
Pros
Easy to use interface
Powerful product setup
Excellent documentation
Cons
Theme customization could be easier
Trial could be longer
Starter site with sample products could be more detailed

BigCommerce is great for medium to large product catalogs. For very small businesses, the amount of work required to get started can be intimidating when selling only a few products. Most BigCommerce sites seem to look very similar - more diversity of default layouts and templates would go a long way towards providing a better small business experience.

Big Commerce is the platform we use for our storefront as well as all customer information and contact. We use Big Commerce to manage our inventory and the entire sales process. From information to the monetary collection, we use Big Commerce for the entire process.
Pros
Sales management.
Customer service.
Ease of website building.
Cons
WYSIWYG editor is hard to work with and doesn't ever look the way it does in the end.
Password requirement restrictions should be changeable by site owner not BC.
Menu buttons on the left should be clickable even when you are already on that page, it should just reload the page.

We used several other platforms and found BC to be the easiest to work with and found the customer support to be very responsive.

BigCommerce is being used by [my company] and is an excellent hosting company with many features. BibCommerce addresses marketing and inventory in a unique way. Having an eBay account is important but BigCommerce now integrates with your eBay to manage inventory, etc. The support is very professional and there are tutorials on every page to guide you in the management of your site. Overall, an excellent hosting company.
Pros
Excellent support.
[The] navigation of BigCommerce is laid out very well!
Cons
At this time I do not have any recommendations for improvement. They have covered every item that I have questions [about].

I need a hosting company that allows me access to their support team [at] a moment['s] notice. BigCommerce has excellent support staff.
We use BigCommerce as our store on our website. We have tried a variety of different software and shopping cart platforms out there over the years, but BigCommerce is the most robust. It offers us the flexibility that we need while giving us full control of each product and their variations.
Pros
Full control of your customers database -from giving them store credit (seems a no-brainer, but there's a lot of software/platforms out there that don't let you do that!!), to being able to go into their account and edit an order for them, to creating ads/coupons based on groups, etc
Full control of product details - every facet of the product is at your fingertips. Beyond description, price, and image, you get SEO, options, categories (including being able to put your product in multiple categories. Again, something simple, but important!), bulk pricing, mark it coming soon or call for pricing, etc.
It's so robust!! I've mentioned the full control because it really is so robust and allows you to tailor everything to your store/site/brand, etc. We've used it for years and plan to use it for years to come!
Cons
Steep learning curve - if you have a web/IT person, great, you're golden. If you're just starting out, or switching from a platform that's a little more plug-n-play, you'll discover that along with the robustness of BC comes it's many, many different choices. Which is great....and a bit overwhelming. It IS easy to learn though, just keep plugging away at it and don't be afraid to ask for help through the community, the help desk, or the web!

If you have some simple products that don't need variations of any kind, and just need to sell them, this will work for you but may be 'too much' and a simpler platform would work better. If you have a lot of products, a lot of {repeat} customers to manage, variations on the products, tie-ins to other products, etc, then you definitely want to use BigCommerce!
