Overall Satisfaction with Webexpenses

Webexpenses is used in my organisation to have a smoothly operating and centralised way to log employee expenses, ensuring that the process is transparent and clear for both the employees and expense approvers.

Pros

  • log expenses
  • show progress of claims

Cons

  • ease of use
  • way to log petrol bought instead of mileage used
  • expenses are approved faster
  • burden is no longer solely on finance to approve
The variety of different options and claims mean that use can be complicated, for example the mileage tracker can be a bit fiddly especially when the route needs adjusting.

Webexpenses is well suited for scenarios in which multiple expenses are part of one claim, for example hotel, meal and transport costs for one event. The variety of different claim categories is also helpful, but can cause some confusion due to their extensiveness. It is less useful for simpler claims.
