Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize Veeam Backup & Replication for all of our customer-focused applications in multiple locations, including two colocations in diverse locations. It has successfully allowed us to build backup and recovery redundancy in order to ensure our apps continue to run and process customer data with appropriate security.

Pros

Windows library structures are easily identified for restoration
Restores, in general, are easy to do
Replication of data structures to other servers

Cons

Better method to back up desktop and laptops
Improvement of deduping methods
Better error descriptions for troubleshooting

Return on Investment

As an early adopter of Veeam Backup & Replication, the value provided was critical
Ease of use, little training, fast restoration, and malware protection is my ROI

Likelihood to Recommend

Veeam Backup & Replication is very well suited for file-level recovery as well as for full VM recovery when a VM snapshot is unavailable. It is a must-have tool for IT to be able to recover from a malware/ransomware attack. It now works great in backup and replication to cloud storage. As a user of many backup solutions through the years I cannot think of a better solution than Veeam Backup & Replication.
