Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Currently, we are using SAP Integration Suite as PaaS for a customized Fiori app for mobile devices so our field users can submit their order confirmation.

Pros and Cons

Pros

With the Cloud platform, we do not have to worry about the maintenance of the server.
The effort put in with the technical team and business for testing each new upgrade related to a product.
Feasibility to have our own custom apps.

Cons

More documentation and steps/blogs on how to perform security configurations.
Easy mapping with LDAP users and SAP users.

Return on Investment

Help our end-user easily move away from old SAP GUI screens and move to mobile devices.

Alternatives Considered

SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA

We are currently using SAP Integration Suite with our ERP ECC system but the road-map is to move S/4 on HANA so we selected SAP Integration Suite hoping that it will be easier when we move to S4 HANA.

Other Software Used

Tableau Desktop, Concur Travel and Expense, SAP HANA

Likelihood to Recommend

Our field users currently have to have paper documentation and then visit the nearest office to input work order data. With SAP Integration Suite integration in the mobile app, it helps them to perform the tasks in the app, saving time.
