Not just another manic Monday!
Overall Satisfaction with monday.com
As part of the professional services team, we use to to bring in opps from Salesforce, when move to closed/won, it triggers an automation to create a client board. We have a high level board that manages all of our implementation clients, by product, along with their implementation client health, phase, notes, and time tracking. Our child boards are used to keep each clients implementation on track. These boards are collaborative between us and our clients to ensure we are tracking milestones and staying on track.
Internally, we have our implementation playbooks, onboarding, and meeting notes to everything is in one place.
Other uses:
Forms
Training Requests
Onboarding (Internal)

Pros
- Automate otherwise manual tasks
- Notifications to key stakeholders during important milestones
- Ability to be flexible with the column types and board setup
Cons
- Time tracking which really leads into capacity planning - we haven't been able to get the widget to work
- Ability to do more with all column types (i.e. notifications and automations based on formula and mirrored columns)
- Reporting has always been a struggle for us. We had to completely redo our workflow based on our reporting needs that we found out after the fact. Focusing on reporting more up front during implementation would have been helpful
- More flexibility within forms - easier ability to update (i.e. archive someone's name if they no longer should be in the dropdown choice)
- Easier admin management - a place to see who has access to what in a better format
- Time savings - automations are wonderful!
- Increased transparency internally and with clients - this is huge! The ability for clients to be added as guests and interact with us directly in Monday.com has been helpful! Looking for more ways to increase buy-in.
- Our internal goals is speed to value - Monday.com allows up to outline our project plans to help achieve that speed to values.
- Decreased manual mistakes or miscommunication - increase in standardization and process management.
We've only had a few instances where Monday.com was fully down and it was extremely short lived. When we first started implementing, we used to get a lot more errors around pages not loading, updates could not be made, etc. These errors have seemed to lessen as time goes on. Great work Monday.com on improving!
We often have integrations that break (Salesforce), but I am not sure it is a Monday.com issue. However, this does impact us a lot and oftentimes it takes us a while to know when it integration stopped working which causes some panic and additional time to troubleshoot and get back up and running.
