Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Product management and planning. We use it for product management to capture inspiration and inputs, do user story mapping and to do some wireframing of our app. For planning we use it for our plan on a page, which has gotten better with the recent release of the planning widget

Pros

  • Collaboration & virtual facilitation
  • Flexible usage
  • Good range of widgets with distinct, useful capabilities

Cons

  • Better wireframing
  • Still some issues with shapes snapping unexpectedly in tables
  • Improved product - more inputs from more people
  • Closer adherence from product design to build
  • Better communication of our product roadmap to customers
It has been invaluable - we rarely get to co-locate and so Miro has allowed us to continue working together on our product board both on calls and offline. It has driven an improved product, as we can all input more than we'd otherwise be able to and so benefit from plurality of ideas, and to communicate ideas and drive cohesion of vision within the team
I prefer Miro, although Mural seems extremely similar. Stuck with Miro due to brand familiarity and what seemed like a better feature set (but didn't compare in detail). Figma is a lot more powerful for wireframing, but much steeper learning curve and time commitment where Miro met the original need. Would consider switching wireframing to Figma going forward due to Miros limitations in this area

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It is very well suited to running virtual workshops and creating an expandable space to work on things in a flexible way. In our case, it has been very useful for our product design as we can continue adding inputs and screens collaboratively, remotely and without worrying about bumping into space constraints. It's less good for detailed plan management as it doesn't have the same rigourous tabular structure as something like Monday or even Excel
