Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Internally we use Miro to mainly do collaborations across different teams including design, project management and development. We also use it largely when doing UX researches and UX validations. Externally, we use Miro to keep tracking project progress and road maps with the clients. So that everything is kept in one place as a source of truth. And we also present on Miro.
Pros
- Easy onboarding not big learning curve
- A variety of templates to jump start
- A lot of plugins to expedite productivity
Cons
- Access control is very complex
- If everything can be quickly copied pasted into other programs like Google Slides or docs it would be very convenient
- Reduce old school whiteboarding time drastically
- Make remote working possible since we have team in different states
- Saving on business expenses
- We can have remote clients too
Yes we have team members in different cities and clients across states. So Miro has been really helpful so that it doesn't limit whiteboarding and collaboration to in-person only.
Miro has much more plugins and integrations when compared to InVision Freehand. The fact Miro is a stand-alone program actually has a lot of advantages. FigJam is catching up nowadays just because it's built-in Figma so everything is closely integrated. But it is also a pro when it is not built in Figma so that access control is more tailored and customizable.
