Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for various collaborative activities, including:
- Running retrospective meetings in our software team
- Story mapping for software projects
- Collaborative brainstorming sessions
- Any tasks we would traditionally use a whiteboard or post-it notes for
- Any tasks we would traditionally use a whiteboard or post-it notes for
As a distributed team, we often need to create diagrams to visualize ideas, explain concepts, or map scenarios. Miro enables us to do this faster and more collaboratively than a physical whiteboard, without the need to be in the same room.
Miro is an essential tool for our team’s remote collaboration.

Pros
- Post it notes
- Concurrent Collaboration
Cons
- Didn't really get the point with voting, we find it easier to write our votes on the post it notes with pen tools and then tally up at the end 🤷🏻♀️
- Text formatting in shapes, sometimes I wish for a tad more, like bullet points
- The desktop app. It's horribly slow on a MacBook. I had to revert to browser based
- I don't have numbers. there are other tools out there that can do similar things. Miro is just better, faster, more intuitive.
I introduced this at my company. Before they used draw.io. we still do this for software architecture diagrams, because they are version controllable and have IDE plugins. but for anything else - I honestly don't know how they managed before Miro! It was the first thing I introduced in my meetings, I had it at my previous role and i couldn't imagine doing without. It's my first tool in the box for any kind of scenario where people struggle with understanding a concept.
