Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro to make process maps and charts for my internship. It has been a super helpful platform because each item is easily movable and changeable. I also really like the feature of being able to comment on the platform itself, and being able to link things directly to the shape.

Pros

  • Make charts
  • Make process maps
  • create diagrams

Cons

  • More shapes
  • Automatic fit to area
  • Different colors
  • Information is easier to spread
  • Improved production
  • Fun to use.
I was not there when the office I worked for implemented Miro as a platform, but I know that there are multiple departments that use it.
I like that you are able to collaborate on boards together. The original project maker is able to see comments from other people in the office, and other people can edit the same board if they wish or create a new one. I wish you could create a few more boards at once.
I have not used other platforms for process mapping. The only other platform that my colleagues would recommend to me for that is possible Microsoft Excel, but since people were already using Miro, I never tried to look elsewhere. With how simple it was to use Miro I didn't feel the need to look at anything else, and I wish I had more chances to use it for process mapping and diagrams.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is well suited for people that like visuals such as charts and diagrams. I recommend it for people that are making a flow-chart or any other infographic that could benefit off of different shapes and colors. It's collaborative so it's also good for people that have a lot of different employees.

Using Miro

  • Process mapping
  • Planning
  • Organizing
  • Collaboration purposes with other departments.
  • Using links to add more information.
  • The use of different colors and shapes for accessibility.
  • Personal development and growth.
  • To showcase research.
  • AI templates or AI usage.
Although it is not up to me in the office whether Miro gets renewed, I would very much push for it to. I think that it has been a great way for me to understand projects better as someone who was just interning. I was not as familiar with things such as certain internal documentation or forms and mapping them out helped me realize what these things were used for.

Evaluating Miro and Competitors

I did not choose to utilize Miro, but I do know that my supervisor liked process mapping a lot and that is why he used Miro. Other people in the office such as the business operations people also liked using it, and it became more widespread then.

Miro Implementation

7 - Business operations and communications department.
I am unsure of how many people in the office support it.

Miro Training

I imagine that people did not need training and just experimented with it until they found results they were happy with.

Configuring Miro

I wish there were a few more features. More templates and options with text, shapes, and other visual items would be nice and add a lot of different features for people to use. I also noticed some experimentation with AI and I think it would be very interesting to see how that expands and develops.
My best practice would be to just experiment with it and see the different options you have. Think about the project or thing that you're aiming to display and I'm sure that you will find something that you're happy with.
No - there is no facility to customize the interface
No - we have not done any custom code
I cannot think of additional customization that I did not already mention for Miro.

Miro Support

I have never contacted support.
I am not sure if premium support was purchased, and I am not sure if anyone in the office ever felt the need to contact support.
I cannot because I never contacted support.

Using Miro

I would rate it a ten because it is easy to move different shapes and links. It also saves well and it collaborative. People are able to review the same board and make changes. It is also easy to share these boards on other websites such as SharePoint or through email.
ProsCons
Like to use
Relatively simple
Easy to use
Technical support not required
Well integrated
Consistent
Quick to learn
Convenient
Feel confident using
Familiar
None
  • Links
  • Shapes
  • Text
  • I can't think of any.

Miro Reliability

I give this a high rating because three departments use it in the office I work for. Since people are split up in their departments into teams, there are often situations where multiple people will collaborate on the same board. People never seem to have issues with this.

Integrating Miro

  • SharePoint
  • Outlook.
It was incredibly easy to link the board I created to a SharePoint and people were able to access it easily.
I do not plan to integrate with other platforms.
  • Javascript widgets
I'm not sure.
It should be relatively easy. I cannot think of advice that would be helpful.

Relationship with Miro

I'm not sure because I was not there for that process.
Once again I was not there for that.
I am not sure.
