Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro in a collaberative canvas fashion to plan out various initiatives and track the status of projects in flight. It has many more features than what we use but the navigation is user friendly and allows us to work with partners who are outside our organization. The visual display is also appealing for presentation purposes.
Pros
- Collaboration
- Scalability
- Versatility
Cons
- Performance slows down the more you have on 1 board.
- Ability to copy group elements. If you are trying to follow someone else's design, sometimes it's hard to figure out how they created the other parts.
- Email notification doesn't work when I'm tagged so I don't know what's new until I visit the board or someone else tells me.
- Visibility for all team members.
- Release planning for upcoming months.
- Progression tracking and status updates.
Enterprise firewalls make it difficult to effectively collaborate with those outside of the company so having a tool like Miro allowed us to inform, plan, and execute without having to exclusively rely on emails. Most people absorb information visually in chunks and Miro helps to accomplish this in a simple manner.
