Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro to run collaborative workshops, conduct user research and create business process maps. We also use it for presenting work to a remote group and capturing feedback.

Pros

  • User journey mapping
  • Presenting work to a remote group
  • Brainstorming
  • Planning work

Cons

  • User management and permissions
  • Importing designs from Figma
  • File organisation
  • Miro enabled us to shift to an effective remote-working setup during Covid and has remained a core part of our workflow
  • Travel costs have been reduced as we can effectively run workshops remotely
  • Reduced time for onboarding new team members as Miro is user-friendly and familiar
Getting Miro up and running for our business was straight-forward. However, how users and permissions are managed remains confusing and it took some time to understand it. The concept of different teams and projects within an organisation can take some getting used to.
Miro has lots of integrations with other tools we use such as Figma and JIRA. It is easy to set up the integrations. Some work better than others but there are always new tools and integrations being developed and added to the ecosystem.
We are no longer limited by having to find staff and contractors who are geographically close to our places of work. This has meant a much broader pool of talent to work on our projects. It has also enabled us to participate in large programmes of work on a national scale.
Miro remains the best platform for easy of use and white boarding. Many other platforms have developed their own whiteboard products but none are as smooth and seamless as Miro. We have used FigJam recently to present Figma work as it does do that better, but as a complete package Miro still covers more requirements than the other options here.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro remains my go-to-tool for working with customers remotely. It's very user-friendly and quick for new users to pick up. It's particularly well-suited for mapping out processes with customers.

Where it struggles a bit more is having a good workflow with other applications such as Figma, where bringing designs in and out of the Miro workspace can be tricky.
