Overall Satisfaction with MasterControl Quality Excellence

We use MasterControl Quality Excellence so all facets of our Quality Management System are addressed on a singular, integrated platform. We transitioned from a paper based system and are enjoying the increased efficiency, accessibility and visibility of information in our quality ecosystem. In particular, it has significantly increased our training efficiency and compliance, and as we utilize Management of Change more, we are hoping to see similar gains in implementing much needed changes.

Cons

  • Give full data access to build fully customizable JReports
  • Role creation in Process Module
  • Global acceptance of special characters in usernames
  • Training compliance has increased significantly
  • Automation in all workflows has saved significant time
  • Fewer audit finding result in less time trying to work through CAPAs
Documents and training modules are very user friendly, but Process, Risk and Audit are much less user friendly due to limited FBS options, clumsy eForms, and how many roles need to be created for functionality.

The ability to use MasterControl Quality Excellence products for full product lifecycle management makes it particularly well suited to companies in controlled industries which design and manufacture goods. MasterControl may not be as well positioned for service based companies as there is not as strong a value proposition unless MasterControl is significantly cheaper than competitors when looking at a a specific subset of modules.
