Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At Telix pharmaceuticals we are using the following module : document training process supplier audit and risk module. The process module and in particular the use of the eform tool allowed us to mitigate the gaps that comes from the coded FBS Form. The document module and training module are satisfying as they are. One issue that we have is with the risk module. We are only using it as a tool to record risk analysis created outside MasterControl since there is no possibility to encode different risk score

Pros and Cons

Pros

Training module (the capacity of the system to block the access to a process without completion of a specific training)
Eform are perfect for configure simple form and not use paper form
Easy way of setting user

Cons

Not all training are accessible in the training folder of the user. If a retraining is required only the retraining of the same revision is visible in the training folder of the user.
Eform spreadsheet should allow to insert row
Document module WF . Limitation to 15 workflows can be painful when having multiple site

Return on Investment

Training easily accessible in the system and not in a binder at a specific site
A real collaboration workspace for documentation and no more review via email
Négative: no real adaptation possible with FBS form

Usability

The company transitioned from an horrible electronic quality system to a paper quality system to finally going into MC. The implementation of QXs modules was easy and the experience from users perspective is positive. The negative part of the QXs modules are the process FBS. It is not possible to modify those processes however the system provides the eform tool to mitigate that but it requires a lot of validation

Alternatives Considered

AQEM: in order to mitigate the fact that it is not possible to modify FBS we are currently experiencing AQEM. The way of designing form is so much easier then what is done with eform
Audit: audit module is currently used by the global team but the module is so complicated and add on in word prevent the use of this module in Europe

Likelihood to Recommend

MasterControl is currently the best quality system that I have used. That allows you to have all your document training and process module within the same system. I have rated 8 because some feature needs to be added for being perfect. It is not always easy to function when you are a multi site company

Good experience but will need slight improvements
