Marvelous Marketo
Overall Satisfaction with Marketo
The marketing and sales teams use Marketo to manage emails and collect lead details as well as insights. Currently, we run a fairly complex nurture program with Marketo that targets where someone is in the sales funnel and specific industries that we work with. It allows our rather small marketing team to get as much (if not more!) accomplished than a team twice our size.
Pros
- Lead Management
- Nurture Stream set up and distribution
- Integrates easily with lots of other solutions
- Great community and support team
Cons
- Landing Page Design for non-coder
- Email Design for non-coder
- Anonymous lead capture
Marketo had the ease of use in setting up complex nurture streams and had all of the functionality we were looking for. The other choices were either not robust enough or were really great in some areas but not others. Marketo may not be the best at everything, but it had the most consistent high scores.

Using Marketo
7 - Marketo is used by our sales and marketing teams. Marketing uses it to create and track complex nurture streams for multiple personas at different points in the buying cycle, make quick landing pages, and it handles all of our site conversions. Our sales team uses it to track outbound sales emails and event registration.
3 - We don't have any in-house support for Marketo. Generally speaking, we are able to troubleshoot almost anything we have trouble with by consulting the documentation and the user community. If that doesn't get us anywhere, Marketo has a robust support staff that is very prompt and helpful. We've never had trouble getting anything resolved.
- Email Campaigns
- Form generation and conversion
- Landing page creation
- We really just use Marketo for its intended purpose.
- We are looking into connecting a direct mail vendor to our Marketo instance so we can trigger snail mail sends based on activity.
- Increased efficiency for marketing team in creating emails and landing pages
- Easy website personalization
