Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

We are using Marketo across the whole organization to improve and automate our marketing activities. We are using it at the corporate level.

Pros

  • The logic behind the workflows allows us to automate manual activities.
  • The engagement program capability makes it easy to create drip campaigns that deliver the right content at the right time in the sales process.
  • There is a great user community that provides an opportunity to engage with others users.

Cons

  • It has been hard to integrate our CRM (Infor) with Marketo.
  • We had some issues with getting quick replies from support.
  • You must know some HTML/CSS to work with the Landing page and email builder.
I have used SalesFusion for a few years and the overall interface falls short of what Marketo offers. If you have "graduated" from simple email campaigns, this is the route to go. Some other tools are too simple and will not handle certain tasks once your marketing needs grow to a certain size.
In using SalesFusion in the past, I've run into major hurdles with quickly launching new campaigns and with flexibility in reporting. Marketo makes both of these tasks easy!
