Overall Satisfaction with Conga Composer
We currently use Composer to develop word document reports that pull information from various salesforce reports that are either meant to only be utilized internally or that are to be shared with our stakeholders. This amounts to about ~300 documents generated in a year. It is more flexible than a mail merge. It so far meets our needs well and we hope to deploy it for additional solutions this year.
Pros
- Pulls in data from various sources
- Allows for customized reports
- Functionality to export reports as well as save to records
Cons
- It is challenging to go from solutions to templates and then to each account record to generate - is there a way to generate for all?
- the search for reports is unwieldy - can there be a "recents" to cut down on what reports we are searching through? or a way to view folders.
- i have tried saving time by having conga composer up on several records and you can't generate records. again, if there is a way to generate for all?
- Ability to create documents more frequently and in a timely manner
- Ability to quickly develop stylized documents with minimal impact when data is imported
