Use Cases and Deployment Scope

BigCommerce is being used across the whole organization. It addresses problems such as inventory management, shipping and fulfillment issues as well as organizing analytics all into one easy to use platform. They've done a great job of simplifying the eCommerce experience for users. The easy to use platform allows business owners to scale as they go. BigCommerce has enabled my business to grow year after year.

Cons

The BigcCommerce mobile app needs more work, it is not something I can use for everything.

BigCommerce has allowed me to increase my average order value.

Scalability

BigCommerce is easy to use when scaling. I am giving them this rating because I was able to grow my business completely from scratch. I had 0 in sales when I started and have never used eCommerce before. I was able to grow my business, get more orders using BigCommerce and further scale.

Alternatives Considered

Shopify

I think BigCommerce and Shopify are pretty much head to head. There isn't too much difference in them, however, one excels better than the other. For me, the deal-breaker on using BigCommerce was the transaction fees that Shopify charges to merchants who use anything but ShopifyPay, it can suck away at margins.

Likelihood to Recommend

BigCommerce is well suited to take on new eCommerce businesses as well as existing ones. Overall, the platform is great - but it does need to compete with Shopify. In order to do that, they need to have a smoother integration with a variety of apps. I also feel that they need to work on getting more useful apps over to this platform.
