Overall Satisfaction with BigCommerce

Online Product sales, nothing more.

Pros

  • Product Options are numerous and complete
  • Order organization.
  • Customer contact.

Cons

  • I am not a web guy, I just tell ours what I want to be done. He does not seem to have a problem changing anything I want.
  • I would like to see more customization available in the Order Notifications. My products are built to order and may take up to 3 weeks or more to ship. The ability to continuously send status updates to the customer would be great.
  • I started this company on BigCommerce, I don't know what would have happened if I would have used something else. I actually tried to use Go Daddy store, but with my options it would not have been possible.
  • I think BigCommerce will help with growing your business, but you will only get back what you put in.
I am not a large retailer, I only have 35 products. The big draw of Big Commerce was the number of options available. I don't know how to bulk add items or any of the stuff you are supposed to be able to do.
Not really a comparison, as BigCommerce does one thing and does it well, shopping cart websites. GoDaddy is an all in one provider.
If you are selling items I would highly recommend BigCommerce. For just a simple site, I would not.
