Mainly, Avalara helps us make sure we have our state sales tax reporting accurate by jurisdiction as it relates to our myriad purchases we make on a day to day and regular basis. This can defer between the hardware vs software and services and across our disparate locales.

Usability

Avalara is good as what it is meant to do, and the integration into our systems are solid. The reports are pretty straight forward and generally accurate. I am not sure how accurate it would be with international VAT allocation but that might be the next place we try out the service.

It's good for what it does and what it is meant to do. I wouldn't change much given the speedy timely visibility of tax data as it related to our application.
