Overall Satisfaction with Avalara

We use Avalara across multiple sales channels. We sell on multiple Shopify sites and Amazon. Avalara helps us collect the correct amount of sales tax across those channels. We also use Avalara Returns so each month Avalara remits our tax returns for us.

I don't have to worry about sales tax compliance anymore with Avalara, a problem become more pronounced as our business has grown.

Avalara has a great user interface and any questions that we've had are quickly answered by customer service. I can easily navigate to specific return periods or specific states or both. I'm able to access historical reports and easily obtain copies of our sales tax filings all within the AvaTax online portal.
We selected Avalara over TaxJar mainly because of the prebuilt integration and partnership with Shopify Plus.
Avalara is well suited for e-commerce companies that are required to collect and remit sales taxes in multiple states. Sales tax compliance has become more complicated over the last couple of years, and if we didn't use Avalara, our time spent on sales tax compliance and remittance would have exponentially grown. Avalara's integration with Shopify Plus makes it very easy to set up if you are already selling on Shopify.
