Overall Satisfaction with Avalara

Avalara files and pays all of our sales tax. We also use CertCapture for all of our tax exemption certificates. Without Avalalra, we would need to hire a tax accountant/attorney to handle just our sales tax filing. Money spent using Avalara's service is well worth it, eliminating the need to hire additional staff.

They consider themselves a software and therefore you have to manually enter information and keep everything up to date. On CertCapture it would be extremely helpful to have them automatically send exempt certificate renewal requests to customers whose certificate is about to expire. Currently we have to keep track of when they are going to expire and reach out to the customers ourselves.

When you have to file and pay sales tax in multiple states/jurisdictions. Whenever we sell to wholesale customers who are tax exempt, Avalara's CertCapture handles all of our exemption certificates and ensures we are in compliance and not charging tax to those exempt customers by maintaining all of our certificates in one location.
