Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Avalara in a couple of departments. It addresses our exempt sales (CertCapture) as well as our tax calculations and tax return needs.

Account manager time of response
Help on making tax decisions on tough or unclear areas
Speed of import (takes a day to recalculate sometimes)

It has helped with our documentation for audit
It has helped with our understanding of tax laws
It has helped with collection/storage of exemption certificates

Usability

It is capable of quite a bit, but it seems to be a 'figure it out yourself' situation for most of the capabilities. For someone with zero tax background, this is quite intimidating.

Likelihood to Recommend

I'm not sure exactly. It seems well suited for our needs.
