Overall Satisfaction with Assembly Neos

We use Assembly Neos for document management and also case management. It's great for keeping emails, notes, text messages, and documents in an order that's easily navigable, so that it only takes a glance to see where we are in a case. I like how the calendar syncs with Outlook so I only have to enter deadlines once.

Pros

  • Syncing calendar items
  • Integrating emails and text messages together
  • Saving documents from email to the file directly from Outlook

Cons

  • You can only see 50 notes at a time
  • You can only navigate through notes one way from the particular note you started on
  • You can't rename documents when tagging from Outlook
  • It is great for stepping straight into a case that someone else has been managing and see exactly what is going on
There's definite room for improvement.
Our firm previously used Needles, which was very useful. I like that Assembly Neos is web-based.

I like the list view in the documents tab but also the ability to organize documents in folders. Unfortunately, you cannot organize the documents within folders by date, size, etc, only alphabetically. I like the nice settlement memos it creates, but they are nearly impossible to edit. I wonder if there is a way to link invoice documents to value tab entries?
