Overall Satisfaction with Articulate 360

My team uses Articulate 360 Stroryline, Rise, Studio and Review to create technical content for an internal audience of 80,000 people globally. I love the flexibility of Storyline 360 that enables me to do literally ANYTHING: escape room? adaptive pathing? videogame? if someone come to me with an out of the box idea, I know Storyline can make it happen.
However it comes with a steep learning curve and team members who are new to Storyline can struggle if they are not comfortable with technology. For a simpler less customized solution, Rise and Studio are available. Rise has a modern, website like output that looks very polished right out of the box. Studio is handy for more traditional PowerPoint based courses while still including a solid assessment feature. I also love that Articulate 360 is always evolving and adding new features to an already very complete tool. And finally the Articulate suite is very reliable, I rarely face bugs, when something is not working as it should, usually it's a problem that can be resolved by the developer and the community site is an awesome resource to get help quickly!

Pros

  • Reliable
  • Flexible (Storyline)
  • Beautiful (Rise)
  • Practical (Review)

Cons

  • Javascript support
  • Audio support in Rise
  • Enhanced impact of advanced digital course (gamified, adaptive...)
  • Fast development (decreased cost / time)
I mostly use the authoring content and Review 360 to share the content with our reviewer or stakeholders.
There is a great integration with Review that really supports the review workflow. The different authoring tools are complementary, with a specific use for each.
As for our LMS, they don't always work well with each other but that may not be Articulate 360's fault.
I find Storyline 360 easy to use: it's rather intuitive and is organized like the microsoft suite which makes it intuitive, but I have been using it for a long time so I probably have forgotten some of the difficulties at the beginning.
Rise is super easy to start with.
Studio is more clunky but it's a bit older too.
