We use Ziprecruiter as a secondary recruiting source when it becomes difficult to source candidates from Career Sites, Indeed, Referrals, etc... They are extremely active advertising to jobseekers and are one of the only major job board sources.
Pros

Candidate Sourcing
Cons
Make it easier for us to sponsor jobs. Right now it does not feel flexible when it comes to budget options.
More options to help us reduce our reliance on Indeed
Options like resume database or employer branding
Likelihood to Recommend
Ziprecruiter is a good secondary option after Indeed.
They are appropriate as part of our overall sourcing strategy but I would not use them as our primary source, though, because they don't generate nearly enough candidate traffic.

ZipRecruiter is great for quickly hiring entry- and mid-level roles by reaching a large pool of candidates. Its AI matching and job posting features save time. However, it’s less useful for specialized or executive roles that need precise filtering or industry-specific job boards. Integration with complex hiring systems can also be a challenge.

Professional in Human Resources (51-200 employees)
As a CTE Business teacher, I use ZipRecruiter in my classroom to help students get ready for the real world and understand how the hiring process works. It’s a great way to introduce them to the tools they’ll use when searching for jobs. Some of the issues ZipRecruiter address are that it gives job market insights, helps to build practical skills, and closes gaps in various skills. Students are able to understand the service and use it to search for part time employment, both of which help to prepare them for the job search when they graduate and build confidence.
Pros
ZipRecruiter's algorithm allows for candidates to easily be matched with potential employers.
Candidates have access to a wide network of employers and job openings.
The service provides great insight and feedback on resumes.
Cons
Searching for jobs can be difficult because the keywords have to be very specific.
Sometimes the job matches are irrelevant and provide confusing notifications.
The platform caters to experienced professionals and can be difficult for entry level candidates to navigate.

ZipRecruiter is good in a scenario where a candidate is looking for a job and wants to mass apply. With ZipRecruiter, they can easily apply to many jobs in a short amount of time with the "1-Click-Apply' option. It is also good for those that want to search for different job opportunities.
ZipRecruiter helps me when I need to hire staff. They provide Easy communication and great support. The platform is very organized and efficient. You can search for resumes and send your job offer to the desired person.
At Tennessee State Parks, we have hospitality facilities such as restaurants, lodges and golf courses that employee in excess of 2000 full and part time employees on a year round basis. We are challenged with finding and retaining hospitality staff, traditionally known for high turnover, the same as private industry, with the additional challenge of our parks are in remote areas ! It goes without saying that most people would not got to a Government job site looking for a hospitality career position, so we lose out even more with qualified and interested applicants randomly viewing our website. ZipRecruiter has given me the ability to get the word out to a qualified viewing audience in the hospitality field. I can always count on quick responses, a better communication structure, and a more (so much more), user friendly atmosphere than other third party employment sites.
Pros
TSP Restaurant Manager in Chapel Hill, TN currently on ZipRecruiter since yesterday (9/26) and already have an inbox filled with qualified applicants.
ZipRecruiter has easy access to chat or email with admins if I encounter an issue, and it is quickly resolved, the only time I did have an issue, the response was pretty much immediate.
ZipRecruiter is attractive to both the job poster and the job seeker. Easy to navigate.
Cons
The only thing that I can mention is that I cannot use ZipRecruiter as frequently as the other "free" sites. While ZipRecruiter is superior to some of the others I use are the free ones. But I guess you get what you pay for.
Likelihood to Recommend
ZipRecruiter is great for regular, full-time positions, especially the higher paying salaried positions. I would not recommend ZipRecruiter for the highest turnover positions that are mostly part time because of the price to post on ZipRecruiter. Let me mention, I am only posting hospitality facility positions.
At our organization, we use ZipRecruiter to create and manage job postings across various platforms, ensuring right and perfect candidates get placed. The main business problem the product addresses is we often received a large number of applications, many of which aren't relevant. ZipRecruiter’s filtering features enable us to sort and prioritize candidates based on our specific requirements. ZipRecruiter is a time Saviour
Pros

ZipRecruiter's ability to post jobs across various platforms allows the company to reach a vast pool of candidates quickly, ensuring they can interview and hire in a short timeframe. large corporation typically has a lengthy hiring process involving multiple rounds of interviews and extensive evaluations. In such cases, ZipRecruiter’s rapid application processing may not align well with their established processes, potentially leading to a mismatch in candidate engagement.
We are a catering company servicing 20 remote locations for their daily lunch service through the cafeteria. With each location, we employ at minimum 1 cashier and 1 food server. In addition, we have a small admin team consisting of 2 individuals as well as 15 kitchen staff and 6 drivers. ZipRecruiter helps us create advertisements for open positions quickly and efficiently when the opportunities arise.
Pros
Ability to quickly reopen a previous job
Communicate with potential candidates easily
Manage ZipRecruiter accounts on the go
Rate candidates
Cons
It would be nice to know if candidates have "read" or "seen" a message we sent to them after applying.
Ability to customize job listings more (i.e. adding colors so certain areas pop)
Automatically send reminder messages to candidates who we have contacted

Out of all hiring agencies, ZipRecruiter has been the easiest and most efficient way to hire new candidates. We really enjoy the ability to invite candidates to apply and that you can keep track of their file via the ZipRecruiter; rather than having to do so on a separate software or by pen and paper. Listing jobs and reopening past jobs has been a breeze with ZipRecruiter.
We use it for hiring in our business. It has been a very beneficial tool for us to get good quality applicants that are looking for exactly what we are. The service team has always been extremely helpful and easy to reach out to with any questions. I would recommend them to anyone looking for staffing needs.

It is very well suited if you are looking to hire new employees. It is easy to use and access for job postings. Many applicants reply quickly and have been a great match to our job postings. I would say for me personally, I don't know where it would be less appropriate because it has been a help for our practice.
We use ZipRecruiter to seek out qualified candidates for specialized positions in our organization. Because of it's popularity it makes it simple to post a position singularly and receive a good sized pool of talent. Other solutions, we feel, send too many "close" applicants and not as many whom check all the boxes.
Pros
Simple interface
Timely responses
verifiable candidates
Cons
perhaps a more streamlined alert email to their lists
avoid "apply on company site" requirements.
Keep applicants info on file for future opportunities and notify them when one comes up
Likelihood to Recommend
Ziprecruiter is highly suited for very specific, technical or skills-oriented positions where certifications and or experience is tantamount to a successful hire. examples include programmers, machinists, on line skills like SEO and Google certs, specific programs (Adobe suite, older technologies, specific SAAS requirements), and highly experienced C-suite candidates. Probably not as useful for low skill positions. Would not use to hire servers.
