Webex App was our next step from Jabber to provide collaboration across the business. We used the collaboration features to quickly spin up teams to resolve issues and brainstorm together. This is also our softphone platform, which helped us completely move away from desk phones.
Pros
Chat
Presence
Screen Sharing
Cons
Interface
Speed
Advanced call features

Heavy competition and integration from MS Teams has almost shifted us entirely away from this product. When we first deployed we were looking to move into the Contact Centre solution, but the boom of MS Teams has seen us shift away.
Webex is used for meetings and videoconferencing at our company. We experience almost no problem with Webex and since we are using Cisco Videoconferencing systems, it is perfectly integrated. Our typical issues surround atypical conference rooms with which I mean conference rooms that can be combined or seperated by a dynamic wall as necessary which again is not an issue with Webex but user experience. Within this setup we can assist our users very quickly via the Webex Control Panel. In my opinion it is intuitive to use.
Pros
Provide meeting details. You are able to connect quickly since you are presented with all necessary information at one glance.
Meeting quality is good
Nice GUI
Cons
I personally and some users I spoke to had a problem with the personal room - For example I would start my personal room from my phone or notebook and want to join. WebEx is telling me that I need to wait for the host - of my own personal room. If I enter with the control panel of a videoconferencing room it is asking for my host pin and I can join as host. Did not see that when starting or joining direktly from my devices. Same story from some users.

I can only rate webex within a Cisco environment. Within this environment however Webex is working well. We do not get many tickets or calls regarding a problem with Webex. Setting up a meeting is as easy as joining and you are presented with all the necessary information at one glance. It integrates great with our Cisco Videoconferencing solution which makes it easy for our users.

We use Cisco Jabber consistently across the whole organization to provide a software telephone solution, an instant messaging solution, a presence status solution, a group chat solution, a video chat solution, and for its integration with Cisco Webex for conference calls and virtual meetings. Cisco Jabber provides us an enterprise-wide communications platform, allowing workers to conduct ad hoc formal and informal communications with each other both synchronously and asynchronously.
Pros
Instant messaging
Software telephone
Presence status
Cons
User Interface
Stability
Performance
Longer form text and rich text
Likelihood to Recommend
Cisco Jabber is a suitable solution for ad hoc instant messaging or online text and video chats between workers and for providing a software phone solution [that] can completely replace the need for desk phones. It is not really suitable for large conference calls, screen sharing, or persistent chat rooms that allow workers to catch up on chat history in their own time.

We started with IT only. It is currently being used at targeted users across the organization. We used it as first as a replacement for slack but we would like to use it further to replace the IM and Calling on Jabber. It has been a challenge to get users to utilize it due to their attachment to slack or their lack of knowledge on its use.
Pros
Team collaboration
History of project timelines and discussions
Replacement of Webex? We hope.
Cons
File management sucks!
Integration with Box etc is a pain to configure and useless for non technical users.
Likelihood to Recommend
Great for team collaboration and tracking. Not appropriate for managing files and integrating with third party products.

We are using Cisco jabber to do internal communication. It's being used by whole organisation worldwide. Each employee has access to this software. It's really helpful in daily operation to get quick information by simply sending messages to co-workers but when we compare with other alternative available in the market like Skype, Microsoft Teams, it really needs to be upgraded up to the mark.
Pros
Easy to implement and install.
Easy to operate. Anyone can easily use this tool.
We can have international calls using this communication tool.
Cons
Really need to upgrade in terms of quality and features.
More options need to be added like video call and emojis.
Sometimes in between calls or chat it freezes and slowness is another problem.
Need to work on design.
Likelihood to Recommend
I would say in small organisations where employee strength is low and uses are limited, people can use this software without any hesitation. Also this is budget friendly communication software when we compare it with other alternatives.
