We use Webex primarily because of enterprise clients that prefer using it as their communication platform. While we continue to use other tools for our standard clients, there's something about Webex that makes it the go-to for enterprises operating in highly regulated markets. Either way, it does video calls, screen sharing, text messaging and file sharing with as much ease as any other app.

Pros

  • High quality audio calls even on poor networks
  • Messaging that continues before and after meetings
  • Screen sharing is feature rich for presentations
  • Files can be shared in the same calling thread

Cons

  • The mobile app sometimes crashes when changing volume
  • UI feels dated in comparison to what's standard these days
  • Notifications can't be customized much

Likelihood to Recommend

Webex works great when working with enterprises who already use it in their workflows. The audio quality is good. You can text message and share files before and after calls in the same thread. Cross device support is great as well. However, it's an overkill for small firms that can do with other accessible options in the market.

I am using Webex App for my official work for calls, meet and messages. Very helpful for me. It is very convenient to use and the features are very helpful. It is very easy to use. The call feature which i think the best feature. I am using it and enjoying it

I love the app due to its is convenient features, I can use it wherever i want. It is very easy for me to understand. Sometime when increasing volume in my phone the app stop mid way but that's only my problem. overall the app is best connecting app. I am fond of Webex App and its useful features

I love the app but some time during the meeting or while increasing the app volume it stopped. This situation occur in rare case but when this happens I feel frustrated otherwise the app is best connecting app. All features are very useful for every users. I like the calling feature the most

Webex app is super useful for me. I am using Webex app for Virtual meeting's collaboration, screen sharing, Video conferencing etc. The best part of using Webex app is that I can attend meeting remotely hassle-free where ever I want. Webex enables real-time collaboration with my colleagues and clients. It is a Best meeting App.

  • In Webex I can use a wide range of application, and integration is easy

Cons

  • It proved limited feature in free version
  • Sometimes I found it a bit complex
  • Sometimes audio issues occur which is frustrating

So I am using it for my client meeting and presentation and Webex is my best friend in that case. Its video and audio quality enhance my appearance in front of all my colleague. The virtual background feature added a professional touch in a meeting, sometimes I found cons, but they are negligible as compare to pros.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

It's our main chat application and video call application. It solves communication problems. It helps us get summaries and recordings of our calls. It also enables us to establish channels for communication between groups and be more transparent with our messages. Additionally, I have been using it lately to screen record explanations and share them with others, as it has a platform similar to Loom, and it has been excellent. I think they need to add more functionality to it, but it's a nice addition to a robust application.

I think the application is very robust - all its features are well-integrated and work well together. AI has been well-integrated into the application (better than others), and it feels robust—this strong application, I like it more than others, such as Teams, for example.

In our organization the Webex app is used for centralized communication and collaboration. It helps us in day to day operations in our various departments. Webex app is integrated into our workflows for internal and external communication. Webex app addressed many business problems for us:

1. With teams spread across various regions, Webex enables seamless communication.
2. Teams can follow up on tasks and decisions without having to schedule a call.
3. Webex consolidates messaging, calling, meetings, whiteboarding and files sharing into one platform.

Our use cases:

1. We use it for real time communication and daily team collaboration.
2. External calls and webinars with clients and partners.
3. Event hosting, announcements and training sessions.

  • Interface cluttered and unintuitive, they can improve there UI
  • File management is not particularly strong
  • Notifications in Webex can be overwhelming or too limited
  • While Webex offers integrations with many platforms but some third party tool integrations can be difficult to configure
  • On older laptops app can lag

On based of my experience Webex app is well suited where any MNC needs a secure and compliant platform for internal communication and meetings with teams, partners and clients. Big corporations can hosts company wide town hall. A software development team collaborates with marketing, quality assurance team and design teams to launch a new app. A company which requires remote onboarding and training Webex is well suited for them also.

I don't much about the scenario where it is less appropriate but Webex messaging feature is not user friendly as Slack or Microsoft teams for rapid fire communication. The interface can feel bulky for users who just need simple chat.

Also send and receive files in chats easily. Project meeting and plannings will happen smoothly without any problem using this software.

We attend meetings and daily group calls. It is very useful for mitigating the functional gaps along with interactive sessions. I will strongly recommend this app after teams. (Based on your organization). Also, the UI is very rich that you will feel connected with the platform in a way you create the meetings or join the rooms.

In our case, we will connect with US based clients for addressing agile ceremonies like retrospective, sprint kickoff and clarification call. For that we needed integrated platform for both client organization and our organisation. To resolve this , luckily we got this amazing platform that not only solved our requirements but also added few values to the team collaboration. Strongly recommend to use for team/client connects.
