Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We utilize Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 as another layer of protection for our environment. This gives us the comfort in knowing our environment is protected in the event of something inadvertently getting deleted, or something needs to be corrected. I utilize their other products and have felt for a long time Veeam is a leader in the space and allows for that comfort.

Cons

I have not run into any issues that Veeam is not otherwise able to assist me with.

Backups a cloud service to on-premises, where we can keep a local copy that we have control over and retain up to our business' need. The ability to restore lost or corrupt mail that users sometimes lose. To prepare for the event that our tenant was completely lost and we had to restore our entire business mail system.

Positive: The ability to restore accidentally deleted items.

We use this to back up and protect ourselves from data loss in the event of a cyber incident. We also use it to protect our Exchange setup online in the event of mistakes in administration or in the case of a bad actor. It also is a secondary backup for OneDrive in case users have a mishap.

We use Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 to back up our Mail, One Drive, SharePoint and Teams data. This has saved us in the past as a user had deleted mail, that we were able to restore and have then back up and running in a very short time frame.
This also saved us as a mailbox was deleted when the license was removed and we were able to restore this mailbox to a newly created shared mailbox whit out the loss of any mail.
