What is UXtweak?

The UX research tool UXtweak helps business users to understand what customers think and feel about a website, app, or prototype. The UXtweak platform's features include competitive usability testing, complex website testing, session recording, card sorting, tree testing, mobile testing, and prototype testing. Using these tools helps to see a website from the users' point of view and discover what matters the most to them.

UXtweak enables users to test not just one or two components of a website, but the full lifespan of the website, from prototyping, testing the final product, or evaluating competitors, to sketching particular features.

The vendor states everything has been designed to be as accessible as it can be for the research participants as well as the study conductors, with expanded analytics providing an in-depth insight into the website even for those who know nothing about UX, such as stakeholders.

Additionally, it offers a chance for anyone eager to assess the website for usability issues. To let visitors know they can help shape the design the way they want to see it, the user can include a bit of a code into the website, taking advantage of the Recruitment Widget. It can be used to offer rewards to study participants to show them that they are appreciated. In order to make testing more effective, users may also employ alternative methods for recruiting research participants, such as a link that anybody can share, or some of UXtweak's own testers, who come from over 130 different countries and have over 2000 different specific characteristics.

UXtweak identifies usability problems on a website, such as high abandonment rates, poor conversion rates, and high bounce rates that may all be all signs that something isn't working properly. UXtweak helps determine problems, gather user feedback, and then make changes in accordance to the outcomes.

Let's do "Powerful tool for usability testing"

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Right now we use UXtweak mostly for website usability testing, although we are gradually starting to implement other features that they offer, such as card sort and tree tests. Usually we recruit participants with their on-site recruitment feature and observe users do our tasks - this has proven to be very effective and helped us identify several obstacles in our customers’ journey. The tree tests we use are a handy tool to optimize how you categorize information for uses. We found it a very effective way to listen to user expectations.

Pros

  • Tree testing
  • Website usability testing
  • Card Sorting
  • The customer support

Cons

  • More advanced features for surveys
  • A separate a/b test feature currently you can work around this by creating a clone of the study and just use a different variant but it is a little bit cumbersome

Most Important Features

  • Our landing page conversion rate improved notable

Return on Investment

  • Our landing page conversion rate improved notable

User-Friendly UX Research Tool

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

UXtweak is a great UX platform that is very easy to use even for people who don't know anything about UX like me. I own a small company for cleaning services and we received complaints that our site was confusing, therefore we were advised to evaluate it using a UX tool. Since none of us had any experience with UX, we wanted to find a tool that would be very simple to use and reasonably priced. What we needed was supplied at UXtweak, where we subscribed to the free starter plan. In UXtweak, we mainly use session recording, card sorting and tree testing. Studies with all three tools are easy to set-up. And the results are clearly shown and simple to interpret. A great part of UXtweak are the short explanatory videos that you can find with each feature. I recommend UXtweak to everyone, even those who know nothing about UX.

Pros

  • Great customer service
  • Extensive list of UX tools that are user-friendly
  • Comprehensible reports

Cons

  • Toolbar at the side of the dashboard can be confusing for the first-timers

Most Important Features

  • Card Sorting
  • Tree Testing
  • Session Recording

Return on Investment

  • More traffic to our website
  • Increase in orders
  • Positive responses to our site

Solid product, good pricing, perfect results

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

The number one priority for us is preference testing. Preferences tend to be a very subjective, and we often find out that what we believed was the best UX pattern was a horrible idea in the end. The ability to choose respondents is a big plus because we only care about our target audience, and we try to limit feedback from irrelevant respondents.

Pros

  • Preference testing
  • 5 second tests
  • Card sorting

Cons

  • Implement native iOS testing
  • Dashboard redesign

Most Important Features

  • Preference test
  • 5 second test

Return on Investment

  • Increased ROI on conversion landing pages
  • Increased time on page
  • Improved UX

Software with a great tool variety

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

My favorite part is that UXtweak has an enormous variety of tools - when I started my journey with user experience I could hardly imagine how many possibilities I was missing out on! The platform is very intuitive and has explanatory notes and sometimes even a video for each tool so I had no problems setting up my tests. I especially needed powerful but easy-to-use card sorting and tree testing features. My experience with this platform is really good. What also surprised me is that they are able to recruit participants from even smaller countries in Europe as I had problems recruiting from those regions with other tools. To me this was vital, because I used to struggle with finding people for my target group who could participate in my research. And probably another great thing is that UXtweak has a “starter” subscription and you do not have to commit before you try it out .

Pros

  • User panel
  • Test set-ups
  • Card Sorting
  • Tree testing

Cons

  • I would love to see even more explanatory videos for some of the tools

Most Important Features

  • User panel
  • Card sorting
  • Tree testing
  • Prototype testing

Return on Investment

  • Saved us from developing unusable products and the cost of fixing those already developed products
