Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We are a College of Pharmacy (Pharm.D Program) we need to provide students, faculty and preceptors with the latest in medical and pharmacy data. Our whole organization uses this tool and it provides a fingertip resource and guides for patient care, teaching in the classroom and experiential training (clinical clerkships).
Pros
- Identify new clinical data for both procedures and drug use
- Identify approved and unapproved uses of medications
- Provides detail on new medications and their role in therapy
Cons
- The app is sometimes a bit hard to use
Likelihood to Recommend
<ul><li>On patient rounds (working with the medical team and providing them updates on various therapies</li><li> Answering drug information questions (MDs questions that may need further review and response)</li><li>Updating lecture material (ensuring upToDate data)</li><li>Patient education utility (ensuring appropriate and up to date patient information)</li><li>Not useful for a comprehensive clinical review e.g. writing a paper, but it is not designed for that function </li></ul>
