Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I head the partnerships vertical at Wayground, an Edtech SaaS company with 100Mn users globally. We use tl;dv majorly for our Channel Sales and Customer success team. We are a team of 15 people who focus on International Business. The AI meeting summary, notes, transcript, followup email templates, Speaker insights, all of it is very critical for us as we have continuous engagement with Partners globally across APAC, MEA, Europe and LATAM.

Pros

  • Notes with Smart Topics Enabled.
  • Segmentation of the meeting itself, like for one of the calls - 1. Confirmed Action Items and Next Steps; 2. Sales Strategy and Market Segmentation; 3. Pricing and Monetization Model; 4. Customer Segmentation and User Data; 5.Contract and Partnership Details.
  • Speaker Insights - Talk time, Words/min, Questions/hr, Longest talk time are very critical to analyse and give feedback to train the team.
  • Meeting recording itself - no need to always record GMeet or Zoom and cloud.

Cons

  • Write detailed Follow up emails and directly send it to all the meeting attendees on key next action items discussed.
  • Sometimes a 1 hr meeting has a 3 hr recording transcript with 2 hrs plain and blank because the AI assistant doesn't exit on time.
  • Be able transcribe better on foreign languages.

Likelihood to Recommend

Strongly recommend for all Sales teams, Customer Success teams, Partnerships teams.

Basically anywhere where there is an external stakeholder and you have a continuous cadence of meetings set for regular engagement.

Have seen it be very productive as we have a lot to catch up on regular progress items based on previous discussions that would have happened.

Great for the use case when you are not able to join the meeting at all and your tl;dv assistant basically gives you a complete download of the call.

tl;dv gives you back meeting time & increases org productivity

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use tl;dv to record and transcribe meetings and to generate insights into topics discussed and next steps. We are a global remote team across multiple time zones, so this tool helps remove communication blockers effectively.

Pros

  • Meeting recording
  • Meeting transcription
  • AI-generated meeting insights, categorized into buckets
  • Effective sharing within organization

Cons

  • Enhanced settings for auto-recording when external audience is present
  • Google Meet button UI could be better

Likelihood to Recommend

tl;dv is well suited for user, candidate or expert interviews where fewer members attend but insights need to be shared widely. The Ai-generated meeting notes and categorization helps reduce handover time and increase productivity as a result. It is especially useful for remote teams that rely on asynchronous communication largely.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use tl;dv on a free account and buy a subscription whenever we feel there is a need for sharing the video recordings. Scope of the use case is to be able to revisit meeting videos later. The summarize feature is good and detects context on a very good terms

Pros

  • Saves videos properly
  • Good AI summaries
  • One place to revisit video recordings

Cons

  • the AI notetaker is not on time always
  • free version archives videos after 3 days, at least 7 days should be given
  • free version cannot download videos

Likelihood to Recommend

tl;dv is well suited for being able to record videos with no hassle. Earlier we used to use OBS studio to record video meetings but that was very unreliable as sometimes video, audio was not recorded properly or not entirely. tl;dv erases this hassle and has made life easier for teams.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Most of us in the middle and top of the management ladder are in more meetings than work assignments through the day.
Back in the day, we would all be in one place and the junior most would write notes and circulate.
In this hybrid and remote space we have to use meeting assistants.

After trying almost available meeting assistants including otter, tl;dv, read.ai, granola and now notion: I uninstalled and removed tl;dv

Pros

  • Joins meetings automatically
  • Transcibes automatically
  • is so obvious we do not have to ask special permissions

Cons

  • Indians love speaking in many accents - tl;dv does not do well with this
  • Indians love talking in English flavored with various vernacular - tl;dv does not do well with this

Likelihood to Recommend

No special skills. tl;dv does what every other assistant does. Absolutely no secret sauce.
The solution itself is free however the real power of the platform is the AI summary and there is a limit of 10 per month.
Like most of its ilk, tl;dv automates minutes and sends it all attending/ invited to a meeting
Similarly, when one of the other attendants is using tl;dr - it automatically adds it to your profile.
So all in all, good solution for free

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I use it integrated into my browser to record meetings for later collection of client contact information and all session information, allowing me to develop scenarios to be more assertive in my proposal. This is an important tool for me in my daily life, as during a meeting I can focus on listening to the client, not taking notes.

Pros

  • Recording
  • Transcription
  • Summary by AI.
  • Timekeeping.
  • Gravação
  • Transcrição
  • Resumo por IA.
  • Marcação de tempo.

Cons

  • Could have more integrations with Goto Ex solutions.
  • The free version could be more flexible and have more time.
  • Flexibility in relation to package and functions.
  • Poderia ter mais integrações com soluções de Goto Ex.
  • A versão free poderia ser mais flexível e com mais tempo.
  • Flexibilização em relação ao pacote e funções.

Likelihood to Recommend

Suitable: AI recordings and summarization are very useful for my day-to-day work. I think they make more sense for those who use CRM for contact collection. It's not really designed for internal or external IT use, as there are several solutions that record during remote access. But it can have a mix of uses depending on the situation.

tl;dv allows me to focus on what matters

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I mainly use tl;dv to record high-stake meetings wherein I have to pay close attention but don't want my focus to be divided between listening to the discussion and jotting down what's being discussed.

We use it for both internal (stand up meetings, syncs, etc.) and external meetings (client onboarding & demo meetings), and it enables us to easily go back to discussions and review meetings in detail.

Pros

  • It provides notes on the important details discussed during meetings
  • Its AI feature can be used to identify common FAQs asked by clients during demo meetings
  • The audio and video are clear and it's easy to navigate to specific parts in the recorded videos

Cons

  • Sometimes, it takes a while for the app to launch
  • tl;dv sometimes doesn't enter the Zoom room automatically despite it being enabled to do so
  • There are times that the app crashes in the middle of a video which can be a hassle especially if the meeting is very important

Likelihood to Recommend

tl;dv is best to use if you want to save time in jotting down notes and wish to focus instead on the meeting that's transpiring. Its AI notes functionality is especially helpful for when you only wish to see the important details that you need to take note of from the meeting.
