Use Cases and Deployment Scope

At the time, we started by implementing a project-based time billing system and hourly charges. Where employees could record their times on a stable platform and anywhere.

The implementation was at that time for the entire organization, which were three offices in the country and with about 150 constant users.

Additionally, records of expenses on account of the client such as courier and others were included.

Pros

A reasonable price.
Relatively easy climbing possibilities.
Brand reputation value of Thomson Reuters.

Cons

Customization of some timestamp functions for a country other than the United States is relatively limited.
As well as the Spanish language does not have support or usability on the platform, which although it is not a major inconvenience if it slows down the use for some of our collaborators.

Likelihood to Recommend

It is extremely suitable for the client since for us they are all US-based companies, even though the main headquarters of our business is in Mexico.

It is less appropriate in terms of usability than taxes, since it does not include adaptability to Mexican legislation, and its deployment through customizations and reports is extremely expensive.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

CS Professional Suite is used by various departments across the organization and helps our company users to track and monitor fixed assets and activity related to depreciation. This helps provide a more in-depth analysis of the client's assets and allows our teams to collaborate more effectively by having a wealth of knowledge at their hands.

Pros

Allows users to create associations, groups, locations, or property types to categorize each asset.
Fixed Assets CS can be deployed in a virtual office setting or as a SaaS application.
Fixed Assets CS also supports common depreciation methods.

Cons

Loading times on older computers can be a hassle.
Better integration with other CS apps would be helpful.
More update to date predefined associations.

Fixed Assets. CS offers an excellent selection of built-in asset and depreciation related reports including Asset detail, asset list, property detail, and much much more. They also have a ton of forms such as 4255,4562,4792 and other worksheets in the application. All these reports can be easily customized, which allows you to specifically tailor them to your company's client. They can also be exported to Excel as well.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite is used by our organization for tax preparation purposes throughout the whole organization. We handle a majority of our financial statement preparation within the applications and the flow of information between CS Professional Suite's products help streamline formalizing the accounting software numbers we import into it.

Pros

Import information between its products and Excel.
Straightforward keypunching processed designed for accounting.
Strong customization of reporting.

Cons

Requires a time investment for the learning curve to fully utilize the benefits provided by CS Professional Suite.
Older looking UI and aesthetic.

Likelihood to Recommend

This product is best suited for public accounting firms. I would recommend this to small-medium sized accounting firms as I believe they can best utilize the multiple services provided by CS Professional Suite. The ability to access server files and review changelogs/audit logs/ and other pertinent information allow for a strong level of collaboration between employees.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use most programs associated with RT. We use it across the whole organization. It is used for after the fact payroll and for processing accounting and producing financial statements for our clients.

Pros

It is excel based which makes it easier to input information.

Cons

I think the program should require you to close the client instead of just changing the client id#. It is too easy to enter data into the wrong company.

I think it is user friendly after you get used to the program.
