Last year at this time we acquired 3000+ employees from a divestiture. We pulled them from their SuccessFactors into our SuccessFactors as well as loading in the 400+ organic hires. Since we have 30+ union and 40 FEINs, SuccessFactors has been extremely flexible to properly store that data, and make it easy to manage.

At its core, Successfactors is helping us solve the coordination puzzle. Linking departments, workflows, and data trails that used to live in isolation. It handles everything from onboarding and recruiting to learning our over 500 employees across 10 states.

Pros

  • We are automating loan officers' onboarding through the employee central module, and it's doing a pretty good job.
  • Keeps role hierarchies well synchronized across departments.

Cons

  • There's always heavy customization required once you move beyond the standard workflows.

Return on Investment

  • Superb onboarding efficiency.
  • Using the learning and performance modules together, we achieved near-perfect compliance visibility across all regulated roles.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

SuccessFactors is used as our core Global HR system which encompasses Employee Central and Talent Modules. It is used in the end to end employee management including recruitment, onboarding, learning, performance etc SuccessFactors with EC has addressed our global management of employee data that then links to multiple external systems that the business uses to operate. The scope of it us particularly with EC was that it was part of JLR future SAP landscape with S4Hana and the other SAP based products used.

We use this for ONB, RCM, Compensation, Performance Management and EC. Some issues we have are for Story reports, once the query is built it tends to keep loading and time out. Some other issues we have are that the system was not implemented correctly when the adoption was made, so we are now 4 years later fixing these issues.

we use Rise with SAP and SuccessFactors EC, ECP, PMGM, Compensation, Recruitment, onboarding, Succession Management. At the moment we are ok, the only thing is SSL certificates, we buy it each year. We require option to purchase it for at least next 5 years.
