We have used Slack to communicate and collaborate. A huge number of people were connected, and a digital community was formed. Slack is excellent for this. Also, several automations and integrations have been put into our Slack. This helps us get everything together and organized and reduces overhead. WE use it for team communication but also for one-on-one communication.

It is well-suited for large teams and organizations to collaborate. It is easy to create new channels and start collaborating. Boundaries for reaching out to colleagues are easily crossed. It makes it so much easier to work together. When you need to work a lot on the same documents or files, and when your company is Office 365-focused, it is a little harder to work together.

It helps us communicate internally but it has cool features to make the conversations faster, light and etc. Also we can integrate it with other software and create workflows. We use it to have grous to debate different topics and keep track of projects. We dont normally use it for vídeo calls. We sometimes use the canvases and lists as well, such as automations.

We use Slack for all our company-wide communication. As we have a remote team, it's important to have software like this to keep updated on everything that is happening. We use it for direct messaging with our team members, but also for groups, to work together with the different disciplines inside the company.

It's perfectly suited to work with different teams and communicate in an organized manner. Having the thread option is very helpful, not to overload conversations and keep details where they should be. The only thing I would improve is the app's design, as I think it could be better organized and look better.

I use Slack as my daily internal communications platform with my Team at work. The product really assists in quick escalation resolutions and prompt responses from team mates instead of using emails. Slack is really easy to use and we use it for quick catch up meetings in the mornings referred to as huddles. Really convenient as you can use the product both on your laptop and your person cell, meaning that you will always stay connected to your team even when having to attend to business on the road.

Slack is definitely well suited according to my experience of using it for over 6 years to be the best platform to have short quick huddles and catch up sessions with your team, More especially if your work environment is a WFH set up. you can easily direct message a colleague regarding something that needs quick attention. making calls is easy and you can basically present a presentation to your team quickly and easy by sharing your screen with them easily. its basically the future.

Slack is the official tool that my whole company uses for messages. It's used daily for all the communications and between all the teams. Before Slack, the company used to have Telegram, which was also used for personal matters. With Slack, the employees were able to separate their personal and professional lives and get more work-life balance. It's the fourth company that I work in that uses Slack, and for me, it's the best system to make communication faster and easier. Not only direct messages with specific people, but the channels are also very useful for internal communication, warnings, and notices for the entire company.

I would definitely recommend Slack to everyone who needs a messaging platform for work. The thing that I most appreciate on Slack is the possibility of talking to my coworkers without using my personal number or personal apps. This way, I can separate what is work and what is not. Slack even has the option to mute notifications after work hours. I'm able to keep track of every project and discuss them in an easy and fast way. Another great thing is that you can keep and check the history of channels and groups, this way the discussions are never lost when someone joins the project in the middle of it or someone leaves, the history is always there.

The only thing that bothers me in the platform is the system of threads, where you can easily lose the messages cause they look kind of hidden. If you have multiple subjects with someone and the person only responds in threads, it's very common to lose their messages.

I wanted to share my positive experience with implementing Slack at work. It has truly been a game-changer for our inter-office communications. Slack has proven to be an excellent tool for connecting with the rest of the team. I find it incredibly user-friendly and efficient, making work easier and more productive. My overall experience with Slack has been fantastic. The platform is intuitive, making team communication seamless and enjoyable. I appreciate how Slack simplifies communication, keeps everything organized, and ensures everyone stays connected. It has become our go-to tool for fostering smooth and enjoyable teamwork. The only problems ( not really problems ) was the initial setup and internal onboarding.

Communicating and reaching out to Teams and sharing information with everyone. Also, using this to track and find information is really helpful for me as a subject matter expert. This can also help us cascade important reports and announcements. It also helps us to communicate with each other and to support my colleagues.

For me, it is well suited to communicating and reaching out to one another and may help in sharing valuable information that is really important to business matters. It also blends well when it comes to escalating the important cases that may be able to be handled as soon as possible, but sometimes it will be less when it comes to uploading some files due to glitches, but it was a slight issue.

We used Slack for company-wide chat, announcements, and keeping the company connected with remote work and distributed teams in different time zones. We upgraded from a different chat app, and Slack is head and shoulders above other apps. It is so much better. It is nice how it links to your Google calendar and drive, you can pre-schedule messages to go out at a certain time, and you can sync it with your phone.

  • The default knock brush IM sound gives me PTSD, time to change it?
  • Missed notifications.
  • Inability to flag messages for follow-up.

Likelihood to Recommend

I preferred to use Slack in place of meetings to problem-solve on the spot or ask simple questions and check-in with co-workers. I did not like to use Slack to receive requests in place of emails or JIRA tickets because I found that as an IM, it was far too easy to lose track of those requests.

Our department of IT project development uses Slack for communication between team members. This enables us to work remotely and more efficiently, and also allows us to target communication easily to individuals as well as custom groups. The whole organization has not started using this product at this time. But every member of the IT project development team is actively using this to discuss and share project issues and concerns as well as for department announcements, and various social uses- such as lunch planning, sharing various interests and items on the internet.

It is especially valuable in helping with communcation between remote team members. The ability to call and share screens is really helpful, and has become our go to method to communicate, eliminating the need for skype and our various conference call systems available in our company. Using Slack for calls and meetings is now extensive within our group, and is done many, many times per day. it is easy to add people and to share and give sharing capabilities to other team members.
