Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use Pega Platform as a knowledge base management system. Pega Platform allows us to store and update process and product related information that is then used by our Operations and Client Service teams. We have created templates and a custom taxonomy within Pega Platform that helps us ensure that the information is formatted and presented consistently.
Pros
- Makes it easy to categorize information
- Clear audit trail and page history
- Ability to create templates which speeds up content creation
Cons
- The search function sometimes provides irrelevant results
- The content editor sometimes is finicky to work with especially when there is a lot of charts, and expands.
- Would love to see some writing software embedded. Like an AI tool that helps users with writing and can make suggestions.
Return on Investment
- Consistency with templates allows us to create content faster
- Consistent taxonomy and content layout also enables users to find information faster
- Easy editing process means we can make corrections and get the right information out the door quickly.
