We use Paylocity for Payroll, Recruitment, Performance Management, Goal Setting, Communications and more! It is helping us move away from paper (yes you read that right)! And certainly makes our communications and recognition within the organization more efficient for our remote workforce.
Pros

finding resources for support - better support individuals
Paylocity is our main solutions provider. We love that Paylocity enables our employees to update their personal information and access their check stubs and W-2s through use of the self-service profile. We also utilize Paylocity for all of our onboarding and payroll tasks. Paylocity makes these processes streamlined and efficient. Another way we utilize Paylocity is through its annual engagement and quarterly pulse surveys, which are very helpful to us in tracking employee engagement and retention.
Pros
Automated payroll process, including off-cycle payrolls
Keeping employee data organized together in one place
Generating surveys for tracking employee engagement and retention
Makes onboarding streamlined and efficient
Cons
Regarding the withholding forms task, employees used to be able to complete them without any issue previously. Now there is a scroll bar on the far right-hand side that is mostly hidden. They must scroll all the way to the bottom to complete this task, and most applicants don't see it. Our client consultant created a video which we are able to send to them with further instructions for completing this task. This has been immensely helpful, but it would definitely save time if we didn't have to do this step in the first place.
Paylocity no longer allows us to verify an employee's direct deposit information in the onboarding packet, which has created numerous issues with incorrectly set-up accounts and off-cycle payrolls.
The PERC task, it used to require employees to input their PERC number. This was important for verification purposes, and now it no longer requires them to do that.

Paylocity has a very user-friendly interface and is easy to navigate. The new payroll system is well-designed and efficient. Creating the batches is an easy, straightforward process. I also love that the system guides you through the steps of generating the pre-process payroll register, running the audit, and submitting payroll and prompts you if there are any steps left to complete. The employee onboarding packets are well-designed and have a nice, simple layout as well. However, the issues mentioned in the previous question have created complications for employees when completing these packets. Our main concerns are the technical difficulties employees experience when attempting to complete the withholding forms task, HR not being able to verify employee direct deposit information during onboarding, and no longer being able to make edits to the PERC task. If these issues were resolved, completing the Paylocity onboarding packets would be a very streamlined, easy process.
We use Paylocity for payroll, to store important employee information/ documents, and submit expense reimbursements. Paylocity helps our business stay organized when it comes to our HR needs. Our employees are able to login and use a platform that is easy to use which is important as well. It is a seamless process on both ends.

Paylocity's HCM platform has been instrumental to our staffing and recruiting organization. For our use, it is extremely easy to onboarding temporary team members and backed by a supportive and easily accessible support team. The workflows are seamless and easy to navigate for an HR department of one. The scalability and flexibility of Paylocity is most impactful to our business.
Pros
Onboarding New Team Members
Navigating Between Different Portrals
Running Payroll is a Breeze
Cons
Time Off Requests and Banks
Adding training modules focusing on specific skills i.e.: customer service training. Paycom had numerous training mini-courses.

Paylocity's scalability is great for companies in staffing and recruiting. Generally, the HCM is easy to use and navigate.
So we use Paylocity from the very beginning, from the recruiting stage to get all of our job applicants to then do interviews, to then track them, to make an offer, to then have them become an employee, put them through our onboarding, and then we also use it for our payroll processing. The scope of our use is broad. We literally use it for everything. It's our HRIS system and our payroll, it's our everything. It resolves the need for multiple different systems. I love that everything is just in one place. I love that it's very user-friendly. All my employees can use it and it's easy to help them get on board with using it.
Pros
It handles payroll very well. It handles time and labor very well. It handles applicant tracking well and the onboarding processes really well. It's very easy to customize.
Cons
No, I know they're working on implementing it so that we can control our own GL that I'm looking forward to. That is one thing that I feel like has been missing, so I'm happy to see them addressing it.
We went through a couple of different service reps, but that's been my only issue. The problem is a couple of the service reps.

We used to use a different product and it was not very easy to onboard people. It was kind of a manual process for onboarding. I feel like Paylocity's onboarding, is very, very well thought out, handles it very well. So I would say onboarding is probably one of the things that they do well. I honestly can't think of anything it's not suited for.
We use the full HRIS. It helps with benefits and everything related to hiring, onboarding, managing employees, and terminations.
Pros
Payroll
Cons
Benefits Enhanced.

I’ve been loyal to Paylocity for 11 years. They used to be great, offering exceptional customer service. However, they seem lost at the moment, with a lack of communication between departments.
[...] is a government medical staffing agency. We use Paylocity for our payroll and HR needs for all our employees. Calculating time off and on call hours is our biggest issue.
Pros
Background checks
Recruiting
Payroll
Cons
In putting on call and call back hours. These our do not count towards overtime however there is no way to do it automatically.
Calculating time off it's always an issue with this.
Likelihood to Recommend
Unable to process in call with out it calculating towards OT. Or should not do this it's not working hours. Also the calculation of time off hours in hour system it's always off. It would be nice to not have to do this.
We use Paylocity for semi-monthly payroll, timekeeping, and assistance with employment setup accross the US for W2 and W2H employees. The software has allowed us to integrate payroll with Employee Navigator and Transamerica (401k). It saves us money as we no longer need to pay an outside accountant to run our payroll. The convenience of having a time-tracking system connected to payroll is also a plus.
Pros
Rates are lower than the cost of an accountant running payroll.
The time-tracking system is integrated with Payroll, so you can exchange information with ease and avoid discrepancies.
Integration with popular benefits portals is a plus.
Cons
Setup: They talked about doing set up for us, but I had to put together a lot of data for transfer myself and later discovered they input much of it incorrectly.
Service: Sales tells you that you will get an Account Manager. In reality, when you call or email, your ask is given to one of many people on a team.
Responsiveness: Sales stated that service emails would be answered within 4 hours, but that has not been my experience. Plus, an answer has not meant a solution.
State Employment Setup: It is taking more than a month to get set up for employment in a new state and communication of progress has not been clear. This has resulted in messy taxes.
Likelihood to Recommend
If you have an accountant/payroll specialist in-house and aren't worried about hiring workers in new states, Paylocity might be a good option for you. If some of your payroll and timekeeping processes are manual and disconnected from other software you use, they can help you with efficiency, integration, and automation. If you already have a software in place, I wouldn't recommend switching to Paylocity unless the savings are significant.
