As a church, we use Paycom as a payroll management company. Our church payroll is small, so I simply enter in whether employees are paid via salary or by the number of hours worked in the payroll period. The basic information is already set up, so it's a simple process.
Pros
Answering questions over the phone! They are excellent!
Always sticking with me until my problem is solved.
Always being available. If our representative is unavailable, someone from her team has always been available to help.
Cons
I often wish they were open for calls, during extended hours. This is a part time job, and I often work at night, but certainly understand I'm not in the majority.

I truly can not think of anything I've ever been disappointed with. Only working at this job part-time, I often am down to the deadline wire to make our Wire Transfer. Fairly often, our bank says they'll send the wire within 10 minutes, but I get a very polite and gracious email, reminding me they haven't received the wire. I always apologize, but our rep - ... is simply The Best!

Paycom is easy to use with little training. The system functionality works well with our weekly and biweekly staff. the annual review benchmarking is a great tool to track performance.
Paycom is used as payroll at RMS. As an employee, I utilize the Paycom App to clock in, clock out, check my hours, and approve my check. The transparency is very enlightening, and I enjoy having a punch clock at my fingertips. Checking my pay before I receive it also mitigates a lot of the anxiety and anticipation of knowing how much I will bring home on pay week.
Pros
Payroll App.
New products for transparency.
Easy W-2 process that eliminates common mistakes.
Cons
The time sheet page where punches can be changed is confusing and not easy to use.
The time sheet page that shows punches for the week has trouble loading up at times.
Clock in delay when pushing the button, this could be due to connectivity.

I recommend Paycom due to the ease of new hire paperwork, benefit election, and clocking in and out. The best scenario is walking into work clocking in on your phone and not being late in the mornings because of how great the app works.
Our organization is utilizing Paycom to help us better streamline all of the HR/Payroll needs of our small non profit organization. We had multiple systems and this helped us get it all to one spot for everything! It was much needed and helps us save money so more money goes back to doing what we love most - helping others. Paycom is now instrumental in that giving back by helping us!
Pros
Customer Service: Brandon Abate was top notch in answering our questions.
Smooth Team work: Denise has been great to help us transition over with our previous information, creating exactly what we need to be successful.
Positive and Professional
Cons
Very minimal changes right now. As we are just getting started.

As we were comparing various payroll / HR companies to convert to, we were pleasantly surprised at all of the offerings Paycom has. And, Brandon A., our personal rep has been nothing short of amazing. He has helped us implement and been with us every step of the way. And answered a lot of questions we had. As a non profit, he went above and beyond for us. As did ALL of the Paycom team thus far! It has been a great experience. The positive help and professionalism is beyond the other groups we tested.
In our company, Paycom is used for all aspects of Payroll. We use the ask here section a lot and the workflows. The benefits and garnishments areas are so nice to be able to submit to Paycom and then Paycom will manage them. Approving and sending benefit enrollments is so easy.
Pros
Personnel Action Forms work beautifully
Love the ask here section
Manual check process is so smooth
Benefits Management
Garnishment Management
Cons
I have no issues! I don't think I have once said "I wish paycom....."
I wish our Rep was more responsive like the implementation team was

I can think of no scenarios where Paycom would not be appropriate to use.
If set up properly, Paycom will pretty much do everything for you. The implementation Team is amazing!
We will be using Paycom for payroll, scheduling, training, and most of HR related tasks. Providing our staff with the means to control what they work, verifying what they will be paid, and how they will be paid will be welcomed. The time savings in the elimination of redundancies, ease of record keeping, and great support are necessities that today's technology as provided by Paycom must deliver. All in all, Paycom will make for a better bottom line and a happier staff.
Pros
Training
Elimination of redundancy.
Ease of use.
Cons
Provide for the direct submission of Payroll Based Journaling to CMS.

Paycom saves administrative time while equipping staff.
In my opinion, over the past couple of years, Paycom has displayed significant internal issues that affected their ability to provide the service they are expected to. From payroll related errors to improper accruals to, what I think is horrible customer service. We have had our reps tell us that they were leaving the company because things were falling apart. We have had 6 different account reps in the past year and with each one, I feel the service got worse. We decided to leave Paycom and move to a more reliable service. During our departure, we were told a termination specialist would reach out which never happened. We received our termination checklist after they turned our service off. Come to find out there was some data. We were needing to gain access to that because we did not have any communication from them or proper procedures on how to end our relationship. We missed it. They are now extorting us for $5000 to pull one report. I would caution you from choosing Paycom and go with a more reliable source.

In my experience, they were unable to properly track accrual time for a Colorado sick pay, we ended up paying employees more time than they were due. I think this should’ve been an easy thing for Paycom to handle automatically without issues. In my opinion, they seem to have a hard time keeping good help as we have had six different account representatives within the past year. In my experience, emails for assistance go on answered.
We use Paycom as our time, attendance, payroll, and benefits platform. However the system is able to house so much data that we're still working on "building it out" to include performance evaluation dates, certification and license renewal information. Putting payroll responsibilities into our employee's hands has made the payroll process much smoother than it was previously.
Pros
Ease of use
Customer support
Employee self service
Cons
Some of the ACA setup is clunky and cumbersome
A year later we don't have the total rewards statement working correctly
Shift work differentials were a pain to set up. It took >5 months of use before everything was configured correctly

Well suited for companies of all sizes, some of the functionality could be easier to edit in bulk, the intricacies of terminating/inactivating employees can be challenging at first.
We use Paycom for payroll, reimbursements, and clocking in and out for the day. Paycom makes it easy for people who are new to their admin role(s), the employees, and literally anyone else in a company to use. Employees set up their own account for their taxes, pay check method (physical check, direct deposit, etc.), clocking in and tracking their hours and income... and from an admin role makes it simple to manage without taking days to manage and run payroll. We have absolutely loved using their services and their team! We have been using them only for a few months now, but already we won't ever look back. Not only are they professionally fun, thorough, and great in their training and teaching, but they have proven very helpful in some large company transitions and have helped us move forward correctly and efficiently. Their system is very easy and straight forward to use, and everyone in the company has enjoyed how smooth and simple it is! I highly recommend Paycom to any company - big or small! They really are amazing.
Pros
Payroll
Clocking in/our and managing hours

Cons

Paycom is well suited for all your payroll and employee needs! We have used Paycom to onboard new employees, adjust salary/hourly rates in a matter of minutes, make changes to your tax withdrawals, and more.
We were in communication with Jordan at Paycom. We were sold on ease of use, comparability and cost of our provider at the time, Paychex. We were told the website was much easier to navigate because Paychex was created and added onto multiple times. I can say the was 100% FALSE. Paycom is not only hard to navigate there are many areas that are redundant and it is hard to figure out where to find things because of unusual labels. We were told that the service was similar to my service at Paychex, that was false. We were promised a seamless onboarding, that was 100% FALSE. It was awful. All the tax rates and payrates were wrong. We would have been better off inputting it ourselves. Horrible onboarding process. I had them set up three companies, all of which I regret. They forgot to mention that auto drafting payroll is VERY DIFFICULT with Paycom. They not only require multiple documents both called VODs but two separate things, cause that makes sense. After two payrolls (which Jordan said that's all it would take) we still are required to wire funds (which completely took away any savings we had switching). If you are a small company and have an easy payroll process I highly recommend staying with your current provider. Don't use Paycom. We decided to switch (after paying $800 onboarding) to QBO Payroll. Super simple, had all three payrolls auto drafted and complete, deposited into employees accounts within 24 hours. WHY WHY WHY!! Paycom makes it way way too complicated and way too expensive.
Cons
Under promising and over delivering
Be upfront with client requirements
Explain the time consuming process of setting up drawdown (auto draft) and that it may not happen. You may not be able to do payroll without wiring funds every single payroll
Don't say you transfer all the employee information because you don't do a thorough job.

Paycom has never lived up to what we were sold on.
