In TrustRadius reviews, users highlight its intuitive interface and the efficiency gained from its single-platform integration, which reduces manual effort and improves accuracy across HR, payroll, and benefits administration.
While many praise its automated features for significantly reducing payroll processing time, some reviewers noted challenges with advanced integrations during implementation, particularly for 401k and stock options. Reporting capabilities also emerged as an area for improvement for 21% of reviewers, citing issues in customization and data accuracy. Overall, reviewers value Paycom for its ability to consolidate and streamline HR and payroll operations, despite occasional complexities with specific integrations and reporting.

As a church, we use Paycom as a payroll management company. Our church payroll is small, so I simply enter in whether employees are paid via salary or by the number of hours worked in the payroll period. The basic information is already set up, so it's a simple process.
Pros
Answering questions over the phone! They are excellent!
Always sticking with me until my problem is solved.
Always being available. If our representative is unavailable, someone from her team has always been available to help.
Cons
I often wish they were open for calls, during extended hours. This is a part time job, and I often work at night, but certainly understand I'm not in the majority.

I truly can not think of anything I've ever been disappointed with. Only working at this job part-time, I often am down to the deadline wire to make our Wire Transfer. Fairly often, our bank says they'll send the wire within 10 minutes, but I get a very polite and gracious email, reminding me they haven't received the wire. I always apologize, but our rep - ... is simply The Best!

Paycom is easy to use with little training. The system functionality works well with our weekly and biweekly staff. the annual review benchmarking is a great tool to track performance.

Paycom is a great tool that provides all the necessary functionality to manage employees, administer payroll and benefits, and handle all necessary taxes. We're currently working on open enrollment, and I'm a one-person show. I'm glad to be able to roll over last years' benefit plans and allow employees to continue their elections year to year. Payroll is also a breeze with simple grid layouts and clear deduction assignments.
There are other areas where I do not believe Paycom is well-suited, such as for larger organizations with hundreds of employees. The options to classify employees are robust, but sometimes clunky to use. It's unclear where some classifications will be shown and the number of options can be overwhelming without clear mapping.

I am the HR Manager and use Paycom for all of my HRIS needs. Paycom helps me manage my Employees Schedules, PTO Accruals, Payroll and more. It is easy to use, intuitive, and the customer service department is the best. If you were to run into an issue that you didn't know how to handle your customer service support team will walk you through it every step of the way.

The Paycom App allows our employees the ability to view their paystubs, view PTO accruals and request PTO.
I primarily use Paycom in my organization to complete my timecard. The ability to add hours and skip weekends makes salary timekeeping simple. The ability to assign certain hours to grants is especially useful for nonprofit employees. Paycom also aids in our yearly performance reviews. The documents for benefits and other related information are easily accessed throughout the year, which adds a sense of convenience and organization.
Pros

The ability to assign certain hours to grants is especially useful for nonprofit employees.
Paycom aids in our yearly performance reviews.
The documents for benefits and other related information are easily accessed throughout the year, which adds a sense of convenience and organization.
Cons
During the initial year using Paycom for performance reviews, there was some trouble with scoring accuracy.
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is especially helpful for those who work in nonprofit environments, as there is an option to add grants to a timecard entry. This can be broken down into decimal points as well - for example, 4.4 hours. Therefore, the option exists to add multiple types of pay to a timecard entry.
Our organization is utilizing Paycom to help us better streamline all of the HR/Payroll needs of our small non profit organization. We had multiple systems and this helped us get it all to one spot for everything! It was much needed and helps us save money so more money goes back to doing what we love most - helping others. Paycom is now instrumental in that giving back by helping us!
Pros
Customer Service: Brandon Abate was top notch in answering our questions.
Smooth Team work: Denise has been great to help us transition over with our previous information, creating exactly what we need to be successful.
Positive and Professional
Cons
Very minimal changes right now. As we are just getting started.

As we were comparing various payroll / HR companies to convert to, we were pleasantly surprised at all of the offerings Paycom has. And, Brandon A., our personal rep has been nothing short of amazing. He has helped us implement and been with us every step of the way. And answered a lot of questions we had. As a non profit, he went above and beyond for us. As did ALL of the Paycom team thus far! It has been a great experience. The positive help and professionalism is beyond the other groups we tested.
I am the Business Manager/HR and also Paycom administrator. I onboard new employees, make employee changes, and process bi-weekly payroll.
Pros
Initial setup
Dedicated point of contact for setup
Dedicated point of contact for any issues
Cons
Pushing payroll reports out more timely
Likelihood to Recommend
We have 25 employees and the payroll process is manageable currently. I could see the ease of use more challenging as the company exceeds 50 employees, especially with hourly employees who clock in.

This helps our team successfully streamline our payroll processes--so many resources all through one app!
Pros
Help Support
Helpful Slicks for new features and upgrades
Account specialists who know the most about your account and manage your help tickets for you
Cons
There is currently an alert in payroll processing if an employee works MORE than their projected salaried hours--it would be helpful to have a flag for when employees work LESS than their projected salaried hours.
Sometimes implementation for new/underutilized features can be prolonged due to scheduling constraints with the regular account specialist--having a dedicated "roll out" team for each feature (expense management, Paycom learning, etc.) would be helpful.

We have recently upgraded our 401k processing, PTO management, and expense management to incorporate more of the Paycom features. We are seeing an increase in timeliness and accuracy as a result!
We use Paycom as our payroll manager including time keeping, direct deposit, insurance selections, 401k selections and taxes compliance. Prior to using Paycom we were managing our Payroll in house using manual processes. During our transition to Paycom we realize doing manual processes was not always the most efficient and/or accurate.
Pros
Time keeping for employees
Preview of paychecks
Integration with other platforms (ie. 401k)
Cons
Some admin functions are a little "clunky" in my opinion but you can still quickly navigate most
Likelihood to Recommend
When we moved over from manual processes, the team at Paycom took diligent actions to verify that everything was set up correctly as we moved toward our merger. They reviewed reports several times as well as discussed with myself to ensure we were moving in the correct direction.

Has a personal rep for me to ask questions
Offers free online classes to help get more acquainted with the new things
