Reviewers frequently leverage it for payroll processing, with 53% citing its use, often replacing manual methods, and as a full Human Resources Information System (HRIS) for broader employee management. In TrustRadius reviews, users highlight its intuitive interface and the efficiency gained from its single-platform integration, which reduces manual effort and improves accuracy across HR, payroll, and benefits administration.
While many praise its automated features for significantly reducing payroll processing time, some reviewers noted challenges with advanced integrations during implementation, particularly for 401k and stock options. We are using the system for Payroll, applicant tracking, expense reimbursement, scheduling and eventually benefits and performance reviews. The has put all the products into one system so we are not using multiple systems to navigate. It makes the process smoother and manageable.
Pros
Payroll/ time keeping
reporting
expense management
Cons
Applicant Tracking
some reporting
Likelihood to Recommend
We love the system. Payroll has been more manageable and puts the ownership on the employee. We've had great response from our employees on the ability to navigate the system. the applicant tracking system - is not super easy to navigate, there are things that could be simplier to use.

We use Paycom in our organization for our payroll, background checks, drug screens, mileage and expense reimbursements. It is very easy user friendly and the support staff are amazing. I have never called them that they were not able to assist me with anything I needed. Always helpful and will to help with a smiling face.
Pros
Reports creation/setup and saving for repeated use
Customer service is amazing
automation of payroll start up for each pay period
Cons
Would like to see them offer invoicing services since we are a PEO
corporate visa credit card automation for transactions into Paycom
Likelihood to Recommend
We are a PEO and offer payroll and benefits to smaller organizations. If they offered invoicing it would save us time and money. It would not require a person to manually calculate and create invoices to send out to clients.
We are nearing completion if implementing Paycom as our HR/Payroll provider. We hope to streamline much of the manual work we were doing previously. We are seeing good results so far. This is a big change for our organization, but we are continuing to see our staff buying into the new processes.
Pros
Real time changes to employee information.
Support as we learn the system
BETI is a wonderful tool.
Show Me How tool is an amazing way to help employees.
Cons
Initial training of staff and management. Slow down and clarify things.
Reporting - It is very robust but can be tough to work through to find what is needed.
More clarity when the implementation is beginning. It is important to be sure all of the necessary information is collected quickly and all forms are processed in a timely manner.
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is very user friendly and the app has proven to be very popular with our staff. The real time processing of information is proving to be invaluable to us. The support staff have worked very hard to get us up and running, but we have lost 3 key members during the implementation and that has slowed us down a bit.

Ability to adapt to the market and make changes/updates.
Cons
Being able to separate some functions by individual company rather than based on the parent company.
Likelihood to Recommend
Calls into Paycom are handled very professionally and promptly. My two contacts within Paycom are fantastic to work with and always ready to assist with anything that is needed.
We moved to Paycom from Ultipro (now UKG). The Ultipro system was not very intuitive and user friendly and there was a lot of manual changes that needed to be made in many areas of the program because the different modules didn't "talk to each other" We moved to Paycom to both save money and also found the program much more user friendly and time saving as information flows through all the different modules and makes data entry much easier as it is very "self driven" meaning it encourages the employee to enter most of their own information.
Pros
The system is very effecient for the most part. From application to hire, the process is very seamless.
Service is great. I like having a dedicated specialist that knows our business needs and how we use the system.
They are constantly making enhancements to improve the technology and are receptive to feedback
Cons
There are a few clunky processes still. (like the inability to edit email addresses in Applicant Tracking)
They are behind on enabling texts and push notifications
I would like to see more capability for the Employee Engagement platform. MyCom looks promising but is still new and needs some work.

I think especially for [...]'s, it is as close to the ideal platform as you can get. We are a unique employer as we have staff with multiple jobs, at multiple branches and departments and have struggled with a platform that makes managing that easy. Paycom allows us to drill down specific job access by employee and has really made a lot of our processes easier.
We use Paycom to manage hourly employees time in and out, PTO requests, onboarding documents that require employee signatures, payroll, and tax documents. We have a fully remote staff so this allows us to keep track of all employees in multiple states in a central place. It also gives us easier visibility to an employees status.
Pros
Time Cards
Pay Stub PDFs
Annual Reviews
Employee Profiles
Document Storage
Cons
Customizable Screens
Likelihood to Recommend
We are a small company so I find it works well for us. I think for larger companies it may not be as user friendly as certain fields have to be clicked into for each employee which could cause a lot of manual work.
Paycom was our payroll processor for 100+ employees. Employees are full-time and part-time, salaried and hourly. All are located in the state of CA in one location.
Pros
User friendly mobile app.
Reporting.
Intuitive navigation and admin use.
Cons
Cost
Integration with retirement providers.
Implementation time.
Likelihood to Recommend
Paycom is easy to use and manage. Can handle a large number of employees and both salaried and hourly workers. The implementation can be long, as with all payroll implementations. The cost is on the higher end, but the mobile app and investment in technology can make the price worth it.
