I believe Optimizely Content Management System is well suited to larger organisations, if it was a small or medium enterprise I would suggest it would be a bit too much.
But for large and enterprise organistaions it is a must, especially with all the other platforms you can choose along side it (budget allowing - which is our biggest constraint at the minute)
It currently allows our organization to quickly and effectively update content without the bottleneck of developers or designers. We can iterate and build quicker with Optimizely Content Management System compared to our previous solutions of WordPress or having developers own the content. Having the technology paired with the experimentation tool and everything in one place is great.
Pros
Ease of use
integrations
Consolidation of tech
Cons
Product gaps of WordPress
Better integrations with things like Next JS or Svelte
More developer resources

If I were tasked to help service a SAAS company already using Optimizely's experimentation offering, I'd immediately recommend it utilize the Content Management System offering. Consolidating AB testing and CMS technology is a huge gain for teams that want to remain lean and agile. If you're paying for it, you might as well use it.
Our company is a CMS implementation partner. We have been ramping up and learning about this product and we could not feel more confident investing our time coselling this platform. The platform's ability to centralize workflow management and cut down a lot of time when it comes to finding and creating assets for a page presents a lot of value that we are investing in as partners.
Pros
Workflow management
Codeless asset management
AI content creation
Cons
AI function for content creation still is not something to fully lean on with it's image output but that's more because AI models across the board have room to grow

We use it to implement workflows for our entire Marketing team. As a new partner, we are looking for ways to streamline end-to-end marketing solutions for their business.
Pros
UI
Easiness to build
Integrations with other marketing tools
Cons
Knowledge base for non power users
Visibility to capabilities within different service agreements
Likelihood to Recommend
I like that Optimizely Content Management System is being proactive within the AI space.
We use Optimizely Content Management System for our own website for everything from landing pages, blog articles, deep dives, and general marketing brochure pages. We also provide support and advice for many of our CMS clients who use Optimizely products in all different sectors and sizes.
Pros
Code-first page and Block development - great developer experience
On page editing for a good visual editor experience
Advanced features for personalisation at scale
Robust architecture that efficiently handles traffic
Cons
Ability to do advanced A/B testing from within the CMS
1:1 personalisation
Advanced search customisation and custom content indexing and control from the editor interface
Likelihood to Recommend
Well suited for medium to large enterprises who have one or more people who can "own" the product and oversee its use as well as oversee the strategy for the website(s) and the roadmap to achieve it.
Not that well suited for smaller businesses where there won't be at least one person who can significantly contribute to ensure the product is used well.

We use Optimizely Content Management System as a project management tool to go over the all the campaign workflow from start to finish. The business problems that the product helps us to achieve is having clear transparency of each project/campaign under a single umbrella. We use it to kickoff each project by adding all the required assets/documentation and supporting pieces and creating dependencies for each team.
Pros
Project Management
Holistic view of each project/campaign
Creating ownership for each stakeholder
Cons
Creating dependency between each workflow task
User Interface - Can be challenging at times to understand
Likelihood to Recommend
Optimizely Content Management System is well suited for smaller projects where the workflow isn't too long and there are not many dependencies between each team. It can be less appropriate when there are multiple dependency between each team as the structure or framework to support that is not supportive enough.
We use Optimizely Content Management System in plenty of our projects. It is a good way to streamline the production of websites, and allows customers to be efficient editors with the highly usable user interface.
From a developer standpoint, the Optimizely Content Management System is highly customizable and allows for complex custom services to be run in the background. It's like the Unity Engine, but for web development.
Pros
Handling forms using available Forms-packages.
Editing and personalizing content
Controlling tasks using Scheduled Jobs
Cons
There seems to be limited support for CSP, causing nonce to give errors in Episerver.Forms inline scripts
It would be nice if it was possible to convert properties and content types more than it is today.
A content type report would be nice. Listing all content types and their instances
Likelihood to Recommend
Optimizely Content Management System is a great choice when developing MVC websites for enterprise customers. The price tag may be a little high for a startup or small company. But if you can afford, you can save alot of time thanks to the Optimizely Content Management System's abilities, as well as very good support from their support team if experiencing issues.

It's enterprise level software that feels that way. It's ease of use and reliability make it a strong contender for any client we work with. Being a leader in the space makes Optimizely an easy recommendation!
Produce implementations for various clients as a partner of Optimizely.
Pros

Cons
Data export by project or multiple nodes

Likelihood to Recommend
At present time, I believe Optimizely is a better offering than other providers on a Windows stack. Its price may be prohibitive for certain companies or markets, for which there's open source options.
We use it to provide our customers with an easy/fast way to update/create content and publish that content to the live website. Low turnaround time from request to creation to promotion on the website.
Pros
Content creation and updates
User workflow
Data Import/export to new environment
Easy set up of initial start up implementation
Cons
Editor performance
Easier way to find content that is referencing items that has been deleted
