It's very good for support, but there are still some things missing here and there. NinjaOne 's SNMP queries and patch reports aren't yet good.

Insights on NinjaOne's Expansive Platform

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use NinjaOne as a ticketing solution for our HelpDesk as well as a remote access platform and remote monitoring. We also use the patching and backup functionality.

Pros

  • We are able to create custom scripts to run on a schedule.
  • We can easily sort helpdesk tickets to the appropriate resource.
  • We get alerted for service interruptions or storage issues on our monitored devices.

Cons

  • The patching functionality is not the best, it is unclear if patches went through sometimes.
  • Edit features on tickets!

Likelihood to Recommend

I think it is appropriate to use NinjaOne for Medium sized businesses. We feel like it can handle our environment of 300 machines. The ticketing system integrating with devices and monitoring is a plus for us since we don't need another third party integration to connect the two. NinjaOne patching could use improvement but they have built up a lot of other pieces of their infrastructure.

The Best RMM in the Space

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

NinjaOne has been one of our most esteemed and utilized tools since adopting it several years ago. We primarily leverage it for remote access, asset management, automations, and patching. However, with NinjaOne's dedication to improving the platform and taking customer feedback seriously, it has developed into the most impressive RMM that I have had the pleasure of using professionally. Recent adoptions of Vulnerability tracking, MDM, AI Patch Assistance and Compound Conditions have made what was already a good product excellent.

Pros

  • Consistency of Patch Delivery
  • Improvements to the platform
  • Automation
  • Device Monitoring and Alerting
  • Remote Access
  • Reporting

Cons

  • Technical Support
  • Lack of Organizational Features (Folders, OUs)
  • Reporting

Likelihood to Recommend

Whether you are an MSP who needs an all-in-one solution for device management, or you are in-house IT who needs a single pane of glass to manage your devices, NinjaOne fits the bill as a top tier solution.

The amount of flexibility in scaling to your organization's size is impressive as the platform can be as simple as just using it for remote access, all the way up to deploying comprehensive automation packages in the form of a compound condition that bases its actions on the results of other conditions or scripts.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I have been using NinjaOne for about 3 years now and can't imagine not having it help support me in my IT Manager role. I am the only IT person in our company of over 500 employees and over 100 laptops and over 100 mobile devices. There was a little bit of a learning curve to get everything up and running the way I wanted but with their webinars and online videos it was not hard at all. I also love the fact that scripts and resources are available from other end users like myself. I had demonstrations from various other competitors but not one of them offered everything under the same roof. Being able to manage everything from Helpdesk Ticketing to device patching, servers, workstations, and MDM for all our Apple and Android devices is fantastic. We even added the Webroot antivirus package as well as the Splashtop remote software and NinjaOne backup. There literally is no other software you require to run the whole organization.

Pros

  • Device Management
  • Software Patching
  • Ticketing
  • Remote Support
  • Backup
  • Reporting

Cons

  • Nothing

Likelihood to Recommend

The process of patching, running startup scripts, installing software, or back end powershell are features I use daily. With being the only IT person I have to use the Ticketing system to ensure things don't get missed in emails and texts, and now with the ability to tie everything together with Microsoft 365, onboarding all our employees is automatic and they provide a single sign-on option which is awesome.

All-in-one RMM tool for IT Teams

Rating: 10 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We were looking for a single product to support our IT team in patching operating systems and third-party applications, asset management, remote control, reporting, and vulnerability management. NinjaOne does it all. We use NinjaOne organization-wide for all end-user devices as well as servers. The agent is lightweight and uses very minimal resources.

Pros

  • Patching
  • Asset Management
  • Remote Control Support

Cons

  • Nothing in particular. NinjaOne is constantly adding new features and updates.

Likelihood to Recommend

NinjaOne is suitable for organizations of any size - small, medium or large. It's a single tool that IT teams can use to do so much. Single agent, single dashboard for patching, asset management, IT support etc. They also have features for IT ticketing and device backups.

NinjaOne can be vital to managing end points and more

Rating: 8 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used NinjaOne to manage some client end point devices. The client wanted to know what operating systems each machine had as well as other software and versions. They were looking at a centralized way to do software and security patch updates as their staff was not technical. They also were looking at a standardized way to deploy new software tools to select machines based on users.

Pros

  • Patch management was efficient
  • The endpoint tools are reliable to audit operating systems and current software assets
  • remote monitoring is a strong feature

Cons

  • better reporting features can always enhance a product like NinjaOne
  • Pricing transparency can be streamlined to determine better ROIs
  • we had some limitations with managing separate clients in the portal

Likelihood to Recommend

I think NinjaOne has strong enough features and functionality for small to medium sized businesses. If you have basic to intermediate technical skills, you should be able to follow deployment instructions. Writing scripts and automations will require stronger skills sets to achieve higher value. If you are an IT Professional looking to add professional services, NinjaOne can be the backend engine to help you.

NinjaOne Review - Revisiting

Rating: 6 out of 10
Incentivized

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Our main use case for NinjaOne is for patching all machines in the organization. It is also leveraged for remoting into machines for assistance or to fix servers as needed. NinjaOne has also proved useful when looking at deploying fixes via scripts on a mass scale across the tenant or changing certain settings for certain subgroups of machines / servers across the organization.

Pros

  • Ease of patching and scheduling said patches
  • Script deployment on a mass scale

Cons

  • Better out of the box inventory control mechanisms
  • Improve support response times and clearer answers
  • Deploy automations better, sometimes they are hit or miss when we use NinjaOne to image a machine

Likelihood to Recommend

Looking for a good patch management tool, NinjaOne is a very good and easy option in that regard. From the time of purchase to setting up our testing groups, the process was very easy. As a tool used for imaging machines out of the box, NinjaOne is not the best suited for that scenario. It is doable, but I think it is much easier with other products.
